Got to enjoy the show tonight out in Colorado & wanted to share what a time it was. Started off right out of the gate with a BIG honor for Burnsie that I wasn’t expecting!
This being his 1500th game they had his family out on the ice before the anthem, played a video highlight reel of his career with lots of Carolina moments on the Jumbotron. Necas came out and presented his wife with flowers. Whole arena was love bombing our dude.
And boy do we travel well! This was my first canes game outside of Raleigh & there was red scattered everywhere! So much so that we had our own “RED” during the anthem on the canes shoot twice side.
The entire Neci family had to of been at the game tonight, seriously I think I counted 15 beautiful Czechs ALLLL with their own cardboard signs & Necas jerseys, holding them up and cheering marty on throughout all of warm ups. Spotted his dad early, they look exactly alike, gave him a heavy go canes and a smile and he smiled back and pumped his fist.
What a game, electric from start to finish & proof! This is a family! I felt like I was watching people I knew out there! That WE know! EKOW babby! This is bigger than hockey!
