Thursday night losers in the Atlantic: TBL (1-4-2), BOS (3-6-0), FLA (4-5-0), DET (5-3-0 after 7-2 beating at NYI!)[Montreal also lost after tweet]. Only OTT won to get to 3-4-1. If Sabres win Friday vs. Leafs, they would be third in the division and in a playoff spot at 4-4.

Atlantic division is absolute ass this year. If the Sabres can hang around as they get healthy they’ll have a great shot.
Lol I love how we’re taking playoff spot 7/82 games in. Let’s go swords.
SABRES ON THE WARPATH
Well that guarantees a loss then lol
Hang the banner “Was in playoff spot in October” lol
Just don’t sink yourself and make it a super uphill battle come the new year. Stay in the thick of things, that’s literally all I ask from this team. An average hockey team is all I desire, please!
My bar is so low, lol.
I will say that if they beat the Leafs today, I may start to believe in this team… keep working hard, and if Tage/Tuch/Dahlin can start to drive the bus more, well they certainly won’t be an easy out anymore.

It’s a long season, let’s rake up points and enjoy the ride. The last few games have been entertaining, even the loss to the Habs. Let’s go!
While im glad to see it im not getting too excited until we see how long the yearly November-December point drought goes for this year
That was almost positive. Harrington got hacked.
Stop the count!
If Zucker can’t go, is Greenway ready? Would be nice to get 2 pts tonight!!! Need big night from big guys on team!
Give me last game’s 1st period shots EVERY game and I’ll be damn near worry-free.
A meaningful game? I fully expect our boys to come out prepared to play and not be flat footed *at all*

Definitely feels like we might have shaken the painful part of the season off our backs right away. The only way we could fail is by losing every 2/3 games, or going on another losing streak.
The division is pretty weak generally this year. Barring a dip in goaltending performance, a big collapse/continued injury issues, there’s a reasonable path for them to push for a playoff spot.
While it’s been a long 14 years, it feels like this is as weak of a division as there’s been during that time.
While there are bright spots, I fear that because of how young the roster (somehow) still is, that some of the high-pressure games will be an issue. They need to remain confident through the low points of the season.
If we win tonight and something like COVID hits again tomorrow, then we’re in the bubble when the playoffs start I guess

Don’t do this.
Man, I hope they absolutely bury the Leafs tonight and tomorrow.
Above .500 going into next week would be amazing.
I like them as the Dawg pick of the day. They are playing hot, Toronto is on a slump, and distracted by the World Series. Both teams have key injuries, and goaltending all over the league has been suspect to start the season. Will Zucker play today? When will Greenway and Kesslering be back? I feel like Ruff and Adams have been teasing their return for a week or 2 now.
