  31. Anecdotally I feel like the response here in Canada to him breaking off trade talks is less outrage and more “ok grandpa” at this point.

    Honestly I think people more want the Jays to stick it to Ohtani for choosing LA over Toronto than care about sticking it to the US as a whole. Not that there’s none of that just…not as superheated as it was during the Four Nations Cup.

  33. Those Yankees fans booed the Canadian national anthem in NY in the ALDS, so we have it coming if the Canadians boo during ours. Not to mention all the other obvious reasons to boo the stuff currently happening in this country.

Even outside the all-important context of the US’s dickish attitude towards Canada recently, you can’t do something and then be upset when someone does it to you right back
