Islanders BLOW OUT Red Wings | Brandsegg-Nygard picks up 1st NHL point #shorts #NHL #lgrw

The Detroit Red Wings fall 7-2 to New York in New York. Uh the Islanders just put on a clinic against the Detroit Red Wings. And I don’t know if it was fatigue or just not knowing how to play on the road, but this is not the same Red Wings team we just saw go on a five-game winning streak. uh massive massive collapses defensively either via missed assignments from forwards or just defenseman turning the puck over when they don’t need to. Just Talbat not being able to make saves in clutch moments, too. And it’s not all on him obviously being put in tough positions, but you need to be able to depend on your goalender to make saves in those instances. And just none of that was happening for Detroit in this game. Simon Edmonson got benched, but hey, Michael Bran Segard got his first NHL point in this game. Dylan Larkin continued his point streak and EMTT Finny tied Matthew Schaefer for the league lead in rookie points. But all of that is going to fall on deaf ears when you lose 7 to2. So, the Red Wings will look to get right on Saturday at home against St. Louis. I hope they can because that was ugly.

  1. Wings have always had a knack for making bad teams look great. No 5 on 5 offense/shots. Porous defense, lousy goaltending. Just damn ugly.

  2. I'm sorry but where's the leadership? If you're a senior guy, how do you let your team get away with that? I expect losses. I don't expect to watch my team give up. Its unprofessional. They need to clock in and get to work Saturday.

  3. It’s reminiscent of the roller coaster they rode last year. Great performances followed by absolutely terrible performances. Redwings have too many players underachieving. Too many making fundamental mistakes.

  4. They haven't played that well overall in these 8 games. I think the fans and the media have overblown how good they look to start the season. The structure or systems McLellan wants in place have not taken root yet, we've only seen glimpses.

  5. We wondered what would happen when they hit they road.. well.. we got our answer. I think this team is more of what we expected before the season began, less of what we saw in the 5 game streak.
