“From 1 to 17 everybody was engaged and it was important.” Collin Gillespie #shorts | Phoenix Suns

I think you broke down. Maybe Malik Monkin had a bug hit and there was a timeout. You’re fired up running off the floor. Ryan Dunn leveled you with a chest bump. Yeah, he it kind of spit on me too. But uh that’s just who we are as a group. Uh who we are with each other. Um the bench was awesome tonight in terms of excitement, engagement, uh cheering guys on. And I think um that gives everybody energy, that gives everybody life. So, uh, from 1 to 18, 1 to 17, um, everybody was engaged and it was important and everybody plays a role in us winning.

  1. Culture! We FINALLY have culture. There will be bumps and bruises along the way, but the foundation is being set and you can SEE the fire and grit in this squad. Culture will help us keep talent and attract more along the way.

This season is 100% about installing an identity, building on this culture and developing our young talent around Book. Barring a Cinderella Story, realistically we will make some serious noise next season. πŸ”₯πŸ™ŒπŸ”₯

  2. Chemistry is so important. I love KD but I think his demeanor…never smiling, never getting pumped…was a downshift for the whole team. Now they're free to have joy again. Yay!! Go Suns!!

  3. I’ve said it so many times… it’s better to have inexperience but heart than to have experience with no heart.

This team has guys that WANT to play now; whereas the last two years KD and Beal just wanted a paycheck and it was rubbing off on the team.
