Matthew Stafford & Kelly Stafford Test Their Elementary School-Level Knowledge | QB 1 On 1
You’re going to love this intro. I don’t like that you’re digging for answers right there. Work harder, not smarter. Or what is it? Smarter, not harder. Welcome back to QB 101, everybody. I’m Matthew Stafford, your host. Uh we’ve got a great one today with the Westland School Athletics Circle of Honor inductee. Avid tennis player, mother to our four beautiful little girls, Kelly Stafford, is joining us today. Um for today’s trivia, we were playing back to school. um where we’ll be quizzed on some elementary school questions um that our girls might be bringing home from homework. Um it’s an intimidating topic, but we’ll see what we can do. Um best of five, you ready to go? Uh yeah, but school has changed. I think this is going to be tough. It is going to be tough. We’re going to get right into it. Here we go. Okay. Mixing blue and yellow makes what color? Hi. Okay. This is why we have teachers. You know this. I’m very nervous. All right. Do we think Ty would Ty haven’t known this one? No. Tyler doesn’t know her alphabet yet. It is true. Don’t judge us as parents. Hold on. How much time do we get? Well, you’re running up on it because I thought we were going to finish this one a little quicker. Ready? I’m so nervous. Well, yeah. Yeah, we can tell. One, two, three. Oh, thank God. Okay. Purple crossed out has a lot of questions going on in my head, but um All right. But this is why you married me. Green it is. You equal each other out. Green it is. Okay. We’re like blue and yellow, you know. Yeah. Yeah. Sure. Second grade. Name the process by which plants prepare food. There’s no way. You spelled it right. Our girls can do that. Maybe they could. Ready? One. So I’m really No, it’s not my No, you’re right. Photosynthesis. Is that right? That Okay. Don’t check myself. I’m an awful speller. Smarter than Hunter. Smarter than Hunter. All right. Two to two. A guest who is reading this question. Oh, this is Mary Krippen. She does uh NFL Elementary where she uses football to teach. I showed you her. Yeah. Okay. I remember that. Hey, Matthew and Kelly. It’s Mary Krippen from NFL Elementary and I’ve got a third grade level question for you. All right, Matthew, I did some digging on Google and it told me that you weigh approximately 214 lbs. Now, if you weighed 214 lbs on Earth, approximately how much would you weigh on the moon? Would it be more or less? Are you kidding? Wait, what? More or less. More or less. Not the actual number. I’m just doing a little math. There’s a math. There’s math. do this. For some reason, there’s a number in my head that’s like sticking out. Well, gravity. Doesn’t gravity pull you down? So, it makes you weigh more. Gravity does pull you down. Um, does that make you weigh more? But I’m not This is I’m This competition over here competing. Okay. Well, I don’t know. What are you doing? Is it There’s no math in this. It’s just more or less. Let’s say I’m just going to throw a ballpark. For some reason, in my head, I feel like I have like a fraction or something. It’s also probably I thought it was like 98 Earth gravity that I’m not realizing. But that’s 9.81, right? Isn’t that the That’s the Yeah. What’s that? That’s um Is that gravity? That’s the pole. That’s terminal velocity, right? Like meters per second. Yeah. I mean, why are kids road scholars already? Come on. Let’s go. I don’t know. Right. Um Okay. Ready? One, two, three. Way less. It is way less. Yes. That’s close. It’s 35.7 lb. So, you take your Earth weight divided by six because gravity on the moon is 16. Six. I thought it was 1/8. And very close. Now that I think about it in my head, that’s not one. Stop trying to be so smart. But anyways, divided by six. There’s still gravity on the moon. I thought there was no gravity. You know what the best way to if you can remember when they faked the moon landing in Hollywood? Remember how they had everybody bouncing up and down because they weigh much less? I’m kidding. It was real. But Oh, I was like, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m kidding. Is that what they said? But you know what I mean? Like think back to like when uh I’m not thinking back. Okay. I love you. When the astronauts are on the moon, they were jumping and like they jump forever. So you weigh less. Yes. Well, yeah, but I just didn’t know there was any gravity. I thought you just floated away. Is that not true? Learn something new. I don’t know. Here we are. Third grade. Are we education? I don’t like that you’re digging for answers right there. You’re like, “Oh, but it’s more. It’s more right.” And you’re judging my reaction. I know it. It’s okay. What color is a giraffe’s tongue? I mean, you should know this amount of times we’ve been to Bush Gardens. Yeah. Did you do two colors? Well, yeah. One, two, three. Black/ dark brown. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like that’s cheating. You can’t put two colors. Uh, it’s called hedging your bets, everybody. Excuse me. You can’t write two colors. No, listen. Black was the first one. We know it. I didn’t know if we actually dark blue. Oh, damn. Oh, we’re both wrong. Is it really? Okay. Well, we Well, got to go back to Bush Guards. Um Well, you had dark brown and your fourth color could have been dark blue considering you wrote. That’s true. Oh god. What is it? Does negative count? No, I mean I forget uh what a prime number is. It’s fine. It’s Deion Sanders favorite number. Ready? No, I’m not ready. This is what happens in our house, too. Okay. I’m probably wrong, though. That’s I’m battling between two, but yeah. One, two, three, zero. Two. Yeah. What’s the definition of prime number? A whole number greater than one that cannot be exactly divided by any whole number other than itself. Gotcha. Yeah. Yeah. Back to school. Are you so upset that you’re tied with me? All right. Tiebreaker. How many hours does a typical US student spend in school? A year. Oh. Oh my gosh. A year. Okay. I was thinking a day. That was going to be tough, too. Um, a year. You can’t think out loud because then it ruins my thinking. Okay. Is this how you multiply? Oh, no. I know. I’m doing the same. I’m just going to do it in my head so that the work is not out there to be wrong. So glad we have four kids to educate. This can’t be right. What do you uh Okay. Wait, there’s no way that’s right. Yeah. What do you think? They’re in school. 20 days a week. There’s 5 days. 5 days in a week. What do you mean 20 hours? You’re saying 20 hours? No. 20 days in a week? Yeah, because you just said how many hours? Four weeks. Four weeks. Ready? 1 2 3 Oh my god. 160 times eight. Am I way off too? You’re way off. What am I? What is What is it? The average is 1231. Okay. I had too many zeros. I had too many. Just so you know, I went 30 hours a week and 40 week or 45 weeks. You got and added a zero. You got weekends. Your kids ain’t working hard enough. Okay. Um really neither did we in in lower. I just didn’t want to. I could have written it out. I should have chat. Sheb it. That’s called cheating. It’s fine. Work harder, not smarter. Or what is it? Smarter, not harder. All right. All right. That’s all the time we have for today. I lost again. What? What do you know? Appreciate you coming in, Kelly. I will never hear the end of this. Um, but until next time, QB1. That’s how you end it. I do now.
