Should Cairo Santos Or Jake Moody Be The Bears Kicker? #shorts #bears #nfl

actually think this is the one to watch this week, this kicker situation because obviously Jake Moody, uh, who has filled in the last two weeks off the practice squad, eight for nine, had the gamewinner in Washington, kicking the ball pretty well right now, has been steady. Here’s what I would do. I know Cairo was limited today, but unless he’s absolute full throttle, 100%, I’m calling Moody up one more week from the practice squad. I’m kicking Jake Moody again on Sunday, and if he kicks well, then it’s decision time. Do you sign him to the 53? Is there a world where you would cut Cairo Santos? I want to see Jake Moody kick another week and then, you know, if he has a bad game or something like, okay, if Cairo’s healthy, go back to him. If he has a good game, maybe it’s a weird scenario where you have two kickers on the 53 for a limited time. Like, I don’t know. Like, I don’t want to just like lose Jake Moody uh without having more information. So, I I think I would kick him this week, hold out Cairo one more week, and then kind of go from there.

  1. Cairo doesn’t have a leg, we seen it in the game where he couldn’t kick it out of the back of the end zone granted they did move back where kickers kick from on kickoffs but I’d say 75% of kickers who start can kick it out the back his accuracy is good but moody has the power

  2. Since rejoining the Bears in 2020 (they were previously with the team in 2017 for just two games), Cairo Santos has been very accurate from 50 or more yards:

    50+ Yard Kicking Totals
    2020 – 2/3
    2021- 0/2
    2022- 4/5
    2023- 7/8 🤩
    2024- 8/9 🔥
    2025- 2/3 (so far)

Accuracy for Cairo from 50+ yards
    Since 2020: 77% (23/30)
    Since 2022: 84% (21/25)
    Since 2024: 83% (10/12)

  3. Look Moody has been great for us so far, but historically he hasnt been that good. I feel like him and Santos are pretty similar. Santos has the better overall percentage by nearly 10% though. Im just really scared that, with all these "first time since 2018" stats we have rn is gonna lead to Moody being the new Cody Parkey😂 hopefully not though, best case is him being released lit a fire under him and he proves all the doubters wrong

  4. I'm seeing these Santos stats and realizing BLOCKED KICKS don't counts a missed kicks. They should….because his blocked kicks are not the result of failed blocking….they're a result of his kick angle because his leg isn't very strong.

  5. I dunno Moody's kicks hasn't sold it for me. last game he kicked it too far right twice not even that far out. Santos on the other hand kicks it too low but, he's accurate yet is like 40/60 under pressure.
