Nobody’s getting away with anything. Anymore. As of last month, the league instituted the “Playoff Cap Counting” rule and all teams will now be forced to meet the salary cap for playoffs. Finally.

I know they can’t get away with it again this year but the fact that the NHL had to change the rule to keep the Golden Knights from abusing it is the point. They cheated the system for years and the rest of the NHL knew it. Don’t hate the player, hate the game and thankfully the game has changed.
