NHL Highlights | Sharks vs. Devils | October 24, 2025

And you mentioned Ascarov. He had a strong
game last season later in the year against the Devils. He struggled a little bit in the
early going. Uh but that’s in general their defensive game has struggled, but they scored
plenty last night. Devils better be ready. And the Devils able to clear. Pratt finds Jake, but
Jack can’t get around the stick check of Orof otherwise Hughes was gone. He almost had him.
Celebrini can’t control, but then they get it back at the side of the net and they score. Just
a bad hop. for Jake Allen and it was Ekkan right there to put in the rebound and San Jose takes the
one- nothing lead as the Devils streak of kills comes to an end at 21. A little unfortunate for
the Devils. There’s Jack Hughes. He thinks he’s got Orof. Orof does a a good job in desperation
to intercept it in the neutral zone. And watch this puck. It’s bouncing everywhere. Goes right
to Ekkan. No shot for All. It’s a quick shot. linesman who wipes out. Devils trying to take
advantage now here with Carter driving toward the net. Has an angle and a huge save. Really big here
to keep it one- nothing Shark. Finds Jack behind the net. Centering pass up top for Hamilton.
Hamilton slides it to Brat back to Mercer over to He with a shot that goes over the net. Sharks
over the last few years, no matter who’s in goal, seems to have the game of his life and he’s made
a couple of big saves already. Walker there, Dan. One on Carter and one on Nicoisha right
here. Absolutely, Bryce. Team Omire passes out to Luke. Waste no time on the shot and a
save. Rebound goes back out to the point. Well, it’s the best back to back that you could possibly
have in the National Hockey League. Just hop on the bus. Here’s Hughes driving towards the net.
save and it’s kicked out to the far wall for grab. Spins to his forehand back up top for Hamilton.
Slides a pass to Hughes. Back to Hamilton straight away. Fakes the shot. Finds Brat. Brat back down
low. He sure steers a shot. Doesn’t get through. Hamilton with a shot and scores. Devils stick with
it on the power play and they tie the game at one. on the right side. He’s a left-handed shooter.
He’s got options. Little pass back to Hamilton. Watch. He kind of slowly sneaks in and kind of the
forgotten man. That puck squirts out to Hamilton and he buries it past Ascarov who’s down. See
some traffic in front. Watch Douggee Hamilton get that into the upper part of the left side of
the net to tie this one. Focused on that part of his game. and it’s paid dividends. Oh, here’s
an opportunity for the San Jose Sharks in a sliding save by Allen. They poke in the rebound
and the Sharks immediately come back by Allen. Watch them get up ice quick and the Devils get
caught here. See Nemitz gets drifted a little bit outside the dots. A quick one-touch pass
to Wenberg. One more look. Great stretch pass. Devils fall asleep a little bit here. That’s a
great save. But I that’s a continuing motion. So I don’t know. That’s uh now it looked like
both skates were in before he touched the puck. But is the motioning to the puck, Bryce enough
for them to say this is on side? It’s going to be interesting to see how they rule this
one. After coach’s challenge for offside, it’s determined the play was offside. Therefore,
we have no goal. All right. Great challenge by the Devils. Devils one for two. Six shots on goal
total in the two power play opportunities. So it’s been good. Pratt finds Jack Hamilton tease
up a shot. Safe. Rebound. Heer trying to fish it back out. It’s still loose. Still no whistle.
And now they blow it down. Under 30 seconds to go on the power play. Jack Hughes near circle.
Comes to the dot. Leaves it back for Hamilton. Backs up to the blue line. Back to Jack.
Here’s Hughes. Goes back behind the net. centers a pass to Hamilton who scores. Ducky
Hamilton. Two in a row. It’s 2-1 New Jersey. Heating up. Heating up. Dano brought to you by the
New Jersey Lottery. Remember, anything can happen in Jersey. And you watch this is near the end of
the power play. You could get frustrated. Sharks doing a good job around their net even though
they spent a lot of time in their zone. But Jack Hughes stays with it, stays patient, wanted
to throw it in the front initially it looked like, but then he’ll again good keep by the Devils
and Jack. Jack spins to the blue line. Hamilton Patrick no rebound Mercer. Another rebound by
Brat doesn’t go finds Heir for Brat. 30 seconds to go on the power play. Heir Hughes. Heir with
a blast and a save. Kill a five on four and five on three. keep it a onegoal game with two with
420 to go. Allet pass to Meyer. Meyer waits it out. Pass is knocked out of the air by GitLook
and a big save. Can’t back it in and out of the zone as Ferraro kept it alive but Brad steals from
Gaudette. Finds Jack Hughes. Here come the Devils. It’s Hughes. Drops it back off for Brad. Brad
slings a shot and a rebound by Palot. Doesn’t go. Or passes it back to the blue line. knocked back
to celebrating some room between the circles. Wrist shot just saved by Jake Allen. First shot
since it’s the first shot you face in quite some time. Didn’t see one in the second. Talking about
Jake Allen. Look at this save here. Zip that puck around and can skate. Durv wins the drop. The
face off. Orofette some room. Rips a shot. Save by Allen. Backhand. Brown to Glen Denning who clears.
That came close. Godette can shoot as well. And there was all kinds of bodies in front. Allen got
a piece of the shot. Graph into the zone. Runs out of real estate as Jacks in his back pocket. We’re
back to five on five. Devils kill it off, but the Sharks still buzzing. Distant shot gets knocked
down and kicks wide. Graph centering pass. And the shot goes wide. Another centering pass and a big
save by Allen with Gordet right in his face. Back to Hughes. Hughes with a move. Lost it, but then
gets it back over Ferraro. fires a shot and it’s blocked in front. Hughes back to Nez with a shot.
Bot got in front. Couldn’t gather it up. Cleared back out to the wall. All to the right of Ascaro.
Back behind the net. Two players wipe out. No Paul sliding through it is Glen Denning. Glenn Denning
to me swings out around a shot that gets deflected off the netting. That was a nice throwback.
Awesome to watch. That was very cool. Yeah, I you know they they become more and old. Oh, here’s
an outlet pass. Grab straight away. Glove save by Allen to keep it a one-goal game. Great. Here’s
that set play we talked about comes around and then he hits the middle. See how the Devils D kind
of get caught outside the dodge because you’re thinking that puck’s going to go off the wall,
but better save here. Yeah. Gets a glove on it. Stays compact. Jake Allen does. Hamilton skates
it up out of the zone off of Palot. Will Smith in transition goes off a skate. Gets it back. Finds
Celbrini with a shot and a shoulder save by Allen to Lilligrant to Smith. Back to Celbrini. Lost
it. Bouncing puck goes to the near wall. Celebring pass by Cabbrini. It’s knocked down by a diving
Seagganthaler to the near wall. Orlof slides to keep. Brown’s got it. Here comes Connor
Brown. All alone. Dagger. Empty net for Connor Brown. And the Devils take a three to
one lead. Look at Seanthower down on the ice. Still stays with that puck and Connor Brown
eventually along the wall. Great great work, but You can thor Reeves will settle it down.
Puts it back behind the net with 7 seconds to go. Centered back out of the zone. Dragged
back in by Barkley Gudro. What a pitchfork in this one. Devils make it seven straight as
they knock off the San Jose Sharks 3 to one.

  1. Woof. Sharks on a back to back and still gave the Devs all they could handle. I was worried Askarov was going to steal one there after the first. Nemec got away with one on the offside goal. The kid is going to give me Grey hair.

  2. Ima have to ask the NHL how they can enforce a penalty that was called on the offside play. If the blind linesman, WHO IS STANDING RIGHT THERE, had made the right call, there woulda been no penalty because the play woulda been blown dead before it happened. It's dumb.
