Post-Game | Ryan Huska – 24.10.25

Ryan, when you’re involved in a game with as many power play opportunities as there were on both sides, maybe if you could just speak to the challenges that creates in terms of establishing an identity. Well, you lose the rhythm and flow of the game. Um, five on five. I think we’re doing some good things right now. Um, but you you’re not going to win hockey games when you take eight minor penalties. It’s just the way it goes, you know. On the power play tonight, we saw Zayn on on the top unit. What did you make of of his work? uh particularly on that first goal. I think he he did a good job up there tonight. Like the um the puck movement up top was noticeably different um from him in particular tonight. So it was a lot quicker off of his stick moving side to side and I think that’s what opened up that chance for Naz on his goal. You mentioned the five on five play. Was there anything else that stood about stood out about tonight in terms of you know a step forward uh in terms of your overall game? Sure. I mean like our our five on five game has been it’s been fine. Where we’ve been struggling lately is in the special teams department. Our power play got us the one goal tonight. It had some chances at the end when we needed it. Um we just weren’t able to finish in in those situations. Um it was nice to see some of our older guys that we need to chip in, get some goals for us and and and try to get a little run support. But I I go back to Parksy. The the eight minor penalties doesn’t work. Yeah. Especially a couple of those, you know, just as you’re starting to get set up on the power play, too. And those ones extra deflating those. Well, it’s just careless, right? It’s careless. [Music]

  1. Honestly, I had a really, really bad day today. Getting to spend a couple hours watching my fav guys was a nice breather from it all. Thanks guys, there were a lot of nice moments tonight, and I loved the fighting spirit everyone had ๐Ÿ’•
Better luck in the next one, Flames ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€ I'll be cheering always!!

  2. Every time they give the coach an extension he eventually goes down the road. Sounds like a good gig if you can get it. This team is so lost and has no direction. This is what happens when you let the players control the dressing room. They had Daryl there, but he had to go because he was giving the overpriced players a little shit. And this is what you get. Call a spade a spade, there just not a very good team at all.
