Dominick Barlow Proves Motor is a Skill.
Three and a half years ago, I walked into OTT Arena for the first time and the first thing I saw was an unranked forward putting up shots by himself. I asked the OTE people who that was. They told me that’s Dominic Barlo and he’s the hardest working kid in this program. Fast forward to last night and I watched Dom Barlo start on opening night for the Philadelphia 76ers and he completely changed the game using the same skill that got him there, motor. Back in 2021, Don Barlo wasn’t the most skilled offensive player at OT. He was athletic and had some highlight reel moments, but really what stood out was his motor and rebounding that entire season. Barlo’s game advanced rapidly due to the thousands of hours he put in. He became the first OTE player to sign an NBA contract as an undrafted free agent in 2022. And after 3 years of bouncing between the G-League and NBA, Dom started for the 76ers last night and grabbed five offensive rebounds in this close game. And all five of those led to points. Dom finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in a one-point victory. Dominic Barlo proves that motor is a skill and it can take you a long
