I am glad Zegras is gone Verbeek was trying to change Zegras into something he was not, Philadelphia is allowing Zegras’s talents to shine.
It’s not the fact that we moved him. Granted, I definitely didn’t want to see that. It’s that we didn’t get hardly anything for him.
Honestly he didn’t really have a spot on our roster. We’ve having a hard time finding places for guys as it is right now. However, what did bother me, as with the Trouba deal, is we had leverage to get much more than we got, and the asset management has been rather poor.
anyone who says Zegras doesn’t have a spot on our team right now is just objectively wrong. Vatrano is a nonfactor at best right now and could absolutely be swapped out for Zegras.
Anyone who ever watched the kid knew this was coming. And it’s only going to get worse.
Zegras is the girlfriend you had to break up with, not because Z was a terrible gf, but Z’s family had to move. You hope Z is doing well. Meanwhile….you found a new and better girlfriend that can also cut your hair 😉
