27 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals

There are lots of good things to say about that performance

For one, he continued to show out on the defensive end. So far he has racked up 8 steals in total, deflecting passes after passes

7 assists was also good, same with 10 rebounds. All night he was active on the glass. Whether it was offensive rebounds or defensive rebounds, he grabbed it whenever he could. I can tell based on the game that he wanted it

That said, not everything was good. After the poster dunk on Wemby, felt like he rushed his shots a bit. He started being recklessly on offense, getting blocked a few times. I feel like at times he rides his emotions and needs to be more poised. He also needs to slow down a bit, instead of attacking non stop. Trusting his teammates is the next step he needs to take. Sometimes not doing everything by himself is often the way to go as not everything needs to be done single handedly

Something I have noticed, after the first quarter, Zion adjusted. He slowed his game down a bit and found ways to attack Wemby, negating his advantage. Instead of attacking the lane every time, he waited and found his spot

Something underrated he did: draw fouls. He created a massive advantage every time he went inside. Wemby struggled with foul troubles all night because of him, fouled out as the result

16 free throws, knocking down 11 of them, crunch time middy, lots of good things to say about this one

Considering what happened to AD, I thought Zion performed better than expected. I thought Zion presented major problems to Wemby and gave him the most trouble out of anyone he faced thus far

For this performance, I give it a 8 out of 10. If only Zion knocked down that free throw man, it would’ve been perfect

Looking forward to the next game, Celtics in town

  1. His scoring hasn’t reached his usually Uber efficient self but the rest of his game is looking really good. Once he gets his touch back he’ll be unstoppable again.

Really would like him to take 2-3 3s a night and a bunch of FT line middies. It would open up so much because he can hit them at a reasonable rate too

  2. Super sized wingspans are his biggest weakness. Tacko fall gave him fits in college. They can just sag off and recover quickly when he tries to bully ball. The fact he hasnt developed a 15 jumper to negate this summarizes his career

  3. He’s the same player he was when we got here, essentially. Which means he’s still a good threat, but he can’t win games on his own.

  4. Considering this team might as well be handcrafted to stop him, I think he did fine. Those free throws hurt

  5. I’m sorry dude but you are literally the last person I would ever come to for an honest assessment about Zion
