Shohei giggling with Vladdy after almost getting picked off

  1. I really like this about baseball. The players genuinely seem to like each other even when playing in such important games. All the time you see them laughing and having a good time on base.

I wish other sports took themselves a little less serious and have some more fun.

  2. It looked like he had him on the video review but not clear enough to overturn call on field.

  3. I genuinely do not understand people that don’t like Ohtani.

He’s one of the single best to ever play the game, and he seems to have a child-like joy while doing it. He’s not out there talking shit at people, or trying to show people up, he’s just having fun while casually being god-like at the sport.

Baseball could use a lot more players like him.

  4. In an earlier interview with Fox, Ohtani said he really liked Vladdy and that he’s fun and cheerful. Ohtani also said he wanted to learn from and improve alongside great players like Vladdy. Just game recognizing game

  5. These guys should have a cross continent road trip reality show together in the offseason.

  6. Just like trout I’m gonna have to like this dude for the next 10 years while he violates my team don’t I?

  7. I’m a neutral in this one; my team failed to make the postseason in spectacular fashion. I would be happy to see Shohei with a ring, but I’d also love to see Vladdy give it to his dad. Apparently he wants to win it for him to thank him for everything he has done to get him there. As a dad, that hits home.

  8. Good to see Sho had some fun despite the game situation. Must admit I was overconfident and blind sided by the prevailing narrative + my own biased eyes and hopes. Jays came back from losing 2 at home to Ms, that alone should have alerted me to last night.

Bit of a rude awakening for a good portion of dodger fans. I know most baseball fans want dodgers to lose, glad most fans had some fun last night. Well done jays. But it’s not over by a long shot, let’s see how it goes. Maybe it becomes a great series.

  9. I love watching players talk to each other at the bases. Huge games and moments but in the end it’s just kids living their dreams together.

  10. All the drama of the situation with his signing aside, having those two on the same team would have been beautiful chaos.

  11. First time in WS history a former MVP has giggled after almost getting picked off in the 9th inning of a 7 run game in Canada

  12. Being asked to hate Ohtani and Freeman is a tough ask… but we are generational haters so I’ll do it (but only for the ws.)
