NHL Highlights | Blues vs. Red Wings – October 25, 2025

They haven’t been able to complete things. There’s John Gibson back in goal. His last start in Buffalo. Wound up in defeat. The Red Wings start with JT Comper in the middle. The Red Wings running seven defenseman just in case. Dylan Larkin looking for that loose puck. Able to knock it away. Then it’s knocked past him into the slot and a save made there by Gibson. Lights out and kept the light off. The red light behind him after four nations. Bennington was just outstanding. carried in here by Matthew Joseph and a savem made rebound and that shot goes high. Nobody around him as Joseph drives the net. They love it. He just debuted Thursday. Had a lower body injury at practice just prior to the season. So really just getting his footing going um with St. Louis right off the draw neighbors reaching for that coming in as fault. But there first is Edmonson to get it down the ice by St. only perimeter now. Snugaroo up high gets the return pass top of the left circle. Looks back now for Cam Fowler. This side for Jordan Kyu. The shot scores. Oh, a wicked wister. Power play goal. It’s one- nothing Blues. didn’t look like uh see Fowler goes back to the blue line and in the meantime at the same time Jordan Kyu comes to the middle of the ice. Yeah. And it’s a great shot. I don’t I don’t know that Gibson saw it. His reaction was he did not. Yeah. He had Benotro in front of him. He had Casper in front of him. Boy, right up by the ears, Mick. Oh yeah. Right up the brink looking for his first goal. went off the lay. Kyru now on a six-game point streak, tipped close front of net. Oh, and off the post and then failing to get past Evansson was Robert Thomas. But on comes Snugaroo. That goes off a lane. Backhanded behind by Neighbors. Neighbors for Snugaroo. In comes Faulk and they score. Threw it to the net and deflected in and the Blues have a two nothing lead. Neighbors in front. Well, when you spend this much time in your own zone, good things aren’t going to happen normally. Nothing to go there. And then Faulk. What a heads up play. What a heads up play that was. You see Neighbors in front with a stick firmly on the ice. Easy tap in for St. Louis to take a two nothing lead. Detroit with Larkin and Van Reck. Shen makes the pass over. Good save. rebound and just over top of the net. Braden Chen and brother Luke. Look out. And a chance just wide. Snugaroo with the opportunity. So, probably none more riveting than that one. Boy, oh boy. That was nuts at Joe Lewis Arena. Spinning away, Pavo Buch. Five seasons with the Rangers, now his fifth with the Blues. Tipped in front and he scores. Wow. Just the man we spoke of, Pavl Butch Navic gets his second goal. Both on the power play. That’s a planned play. No question about that. They just play catch with it here for the moment. And they go to the slot and it’s redirected again. If it hits the goalender, that’s great. If not, it’s in the back of the net and it’s three nothing. All the confidence in this game right now. They were two and0 on the road coming in and another one right there. Boy, Jake Neighbors has his second of the night. His sixth of the season already. You get somebody all alone with the goalender. Three guys on the puck. That’s all she wrote. Five hole makes it four nothing. And Todd Mlullen seen it up. Called the timeout. Doing his best as neighbors to get into the play. Then it cleared ahead and it’s a break for Jimmy Snugaroo. He’s in the clear all alone. Big stop there. Not even a sniff. [Applause] Top on the wing for Francic knee guard for Axel Sandine Pelica. Scores. Barren buries it. [Applause] Power play goal. It’s four to one. And one into the far side to Barren. He gets his second in two games. It could have gone right here to JVR. And they go over here. And a quick release off the hip of the goender Bennington. And they got the Bernard Docker from center. Raymond goes in there against Paul. Scores. What a feat from Benny. It’s four to two. [Music] There you go. And the puck ends up in the back of the net. Wow. See Larkin goes in behind. Finny goes to the front. Takes a funny bounce. I don’t know when it went off and ends up in the back of the net. Larkens point. Well, will Larkin’s point streak continue? They may rule that that the Blues played it out front for the rookie. Puck is loose. Just down by two. Hamick shot scores. It’s a onegoal game. Really? Four to three. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Pumper in front. Just enough to mess up the goalender and just enough to stay below the illegal height. Wow. Two goals 27 seconds apart. Yeah, it’s crossbar height when it goes in after a very disorganized first period and a few minutes here into the second. So the third period now underway. His shot toward the goal got blocked and an attempt there loose in front of Barren and down is Bennington after the Lark and shot was stopped tonight boy off sticks off feet all over the place and these goalies are having trouble picking everything. I mean not much Bear could do. For neighbors picked off the brinkets away. Three Blues are back. Three on three. The break across the Casper fire scores. Oh my, what a time for the cat to hit the back of the net. It’s 44. His first of the season overdue. [Music] [Applause] 12th shot attempt. He finally gets it to go tonight. And the reason it was, he’s got Bington moving to his left and he goes back to the right. over the pad under the blocker. Boy, oh boy. Oh yeah, he surprised him going back to that short. Pop plays one across. Barren back his way. Comper’s got it. Edmonson scores. Simon Edmonson. Wow. His first career goal came against the Blues and he’s got the go ahead goal here tonight. Chapers. This shot, does it hit the hip of the defenseman or the forward? It may have hit Shen on the way to the net. And and all the good saves and the good luck St. Louis had in the first half of this game. Has completely dissipated. Oh yeah. Right off his right hip. And Bennington’s got to be going. Seriously, it can’t. 16 shot attempts to pull for St. Louis. In comes Cas. Plays it back. Hamick a collision in front. Go along with his seven helpers moving in as f in front of this. What a stop. Oh my Kyu back to Fowler for Dylan Holloway. Fowler to Holloway. They play catch the shot. Oh, and just deflected and wide for the empty net for Edmonson. scores. Simons says 6-4 lead from a 4 nothing deficit here at home on backto- back with the Blues. [Applause] This turned out to be a huge comeback. Dinka gets on the board. Edmonson is normal Edmonson after the last two games. Boy oh boy, what a comeback. But they came all the way back to win it six to four. Ahead on the road for five. [Music]

Jonatan Bergen started the comeback with his second goal of the season as the Detroit Red Wings scored six unanswered goals to beat the St. Louis Blues 6-4.

  1. I'm really proud of this one. The guys showed they can get punched in the mouth early and still come back. The offense needs to stay flowing, this was beautiful

PS Mickey Redmond beautifully calling the game with a cold is so vintage

  2. Detroit Red Wings is now my favorite hockey team because Detroit, Michigan makes me think of Iran 🇮🇷 because of comic book characters Spawn and Astaroth in Soul Calibur.

Hope Detroit can eliminate Toronto and Florida from the Altantic division.

Hope to see Detroit become Stanley Cup Champions again like 2008.
