Not even a full half and its already being torn apart. How is this possible?

Looks like a shitty oriental rug made in America falling apart at the seams
From the opening kickoff, all you saw on tv was sand, and loooooots of it, being kicked up behind the runners. I’m not sure where they get the sod for Acrisure, but they need to go elsewhere. I don’t know if it’s just that Kentucky Bluegrass isn’t a good football option, or if it’s the supplier’s quality of it that’s so bad, but they need a massive change.
hopefully is good enough for Bos to get a plant foot down this week…that is a bunch of cash/effort to re sod that entire field 10 days ago for it to come apart after see its first action
Locals yall seen a lot of rain this week?
Good grief. Either switch to artificial turf or kick Pitt and the high schoolers out. I still remember this…
Everyone talks about the Miami game and the punt but I’ll never forget when they brought out steamrollers to pack the grass down. [It happens around the 0:25 mark in the video](https://youtu.be/M2JbuTbZZ88)
This is atrocious. We have to do better, that is unacceptable.
Pitt needs to get their own stadium in Monroeville or some shit. Sad that an iconic NFL organization shares a stadium with a pathetic college program
The Steelers need to stop being cheap and invest in a better grounds crew already
Shitt on Pitt
I feel like investing in hybrid turf like what FIFA clubs around the world use would be a worthwhile use of funds. You can grow it to American football spec rather than association football, but then you have durable grass and plastic that can take more of a pounding from both people and nature. Seems silly to me the richest sports league in the richest country won’t shell out some clams to make their product safer and more enjoyable.
Who gives a damn. Just play the game.
I’m convinced the turf is a paid actor at this point. The field has been an issue at Heinz since the stadium opened.
Please think about those poor catholics the Rooney’s, inflation is hitting everyone /s
They just need to throw Pitt out!
Maybe fire the Penn State grad head of the grounds crew.
Was at the Pitt game and it didn’t look great. Looked almost patchy in parts. You could see the sand getting kicked up. However, it is much better than it was.
How is this possible? Money, it’s all about money. Listen to Rodger’s take on the turf.
Top 5 cheapest ownership in the league
That pitch will end Christian Watsons career
Does Acrisure have/utilize grow lights to help grow the grass? I have seen where the Ravens use them to help grow grass and the Bills will have them for their new stadium.

EDIT: Funny I’m getting downvotes for saying something that never should be a problem has been a problem for over twenty years and should be fixed.
Because the SEA is cheap and uses shit sod.
God forbid they have their own farm…
Even the field is a 1933 throwback
Stop sharing thw stadium with Pitt
Should be mad at ownership not Pitt. If they want a better field they can pay for their own stadium.
Where be the pigeons when we need them?
Never should’ve switched from DD Grassmaster.
Rooneys are cheap bastards
ESP!
Is there any talk of building our own stadium at some point?
Pitt spent $25mil to build a new dorm in Bradford (in addition to the other 6 dorms on campus), for a campus that only has an attendance of 1,500
Surely main campus can afford a stadium of their own
Still better than Three Rivers Stadium.
