I love Brook but the last 2 years were far worse than Myles time so far
Pacers fans dont understand that he is a massive upgrade on Brook, we can play much faster with him now and it’s showing
On any given night, some of our guys will contribute on offense way more than others. Giannis will probably just Giannis. This is to be expected.
Negativity gets clicks
He’ll come around on offense. He’s a centerpiece on defense right now which is exactly what they needed.
If you base it off box scores, then yeah he hasn’t been great. But he has helped their half court defense so much already. Guards are applying more ball pressure, PnR coverages are more varied and they have chances to flip schemes around.
Only complaint so far is that he’s turning down some good looks. That’s something that’ll correct itself over time, but he’s a little pass-happy for me rn.

He has 5 blocks and a steal already his defense has been what we wanted brook was to slow to stop anyone

Yeah, 10 year vet is shooting 60% of his normal FG % and only half his normal 3 point percentage. I’m sure he’ll be a 18% from 3 and 30% from the field for the year. Two games is a huge sample size.
Giannis is gonna Giannis and we just need the rest to carry some weight. That’s what he’s doing. Turner is doing great
It’ll be annoying if every bad game is litigated like this, but it’s one bad game
His stamina and mobility is so evident on both ends and such a massive upgrade. The jumpers will come, but hes clearly impacting the game in a big way already, and thats without hitting open shots.
Brook is the nets all time scoring leader, he hardly ever scored more than 10 points in a game but was essential on defense. Turner is a younger faster brook, we don’t need him putting up massive points (it helps sure) but being there defensively is key.
Still miss Brook he’ll forever be my favorite Buck
Have they even played much drop coverage? Had to with brook because that’s all he could do.
It’s been two games. It’s like the first half of the first game of the NFL season.
I think he has been fantastic.
Because most people only look at box scores. The intangibles don’t show up in the box score.
Rotowire is solely focused on fantasy/statlines, so 4 points and 5 rebounds isn’t going to inspire an overwhelmingly positive note
The points will come, the impact is already huge
I was hoping that Turner was going to be the n1 option, while G is on the bench. But, he will require a different setup of plays and offense. PnR, high post, and getting him the ball in the paint after a switch. The wings and others need G and MT to be the focal point, so they can succeed and excel.
The fact that we look balanced even without his scoring is a huge testament to the sneaky depth on this team. The consistent defense and pace we get from playing Myles has already made the signing a huge success.
If people don’t watch games the fastest way to formulate a half opinion is to look at the box score and go off vibes, Turner’s defensive impact and the fact we’re no longer playing drop is more valuable than his offense at this point – maybe that’ll change as the season goes on, but he’s really good for now

Yeah he did a lot of other things pretty well. We really don’t need him to score that much. He’s actually just good at everything. He’s a better passer than I thought. One of the biggest things he brings is just mobility. He can cover more on defense and allows them to play faster on offense. Plus the motion on offense doesn’t slow down. He’s decisive about what he is gonna do.
CBS sports is trash and has been anti bucks all year

The value of Turner won’t always show up in his own stats, it’ll show up indirectly in Giannis’s stats. If you watch the games you’ll see the value.
