Thanks for the memories. š
Haha, classic Mets!
I was fortunate enough to be there and saw Mike Francesca outside the stadium.
My aunt’s a HUGE Mets fan (Piazza was her favorite) so I used to tease her by going, “Two hands! Two hands!” whenever I saw her.
Also: remember K-Rod? Man he was a nightmare.
Errors happen, but his throw to second after the runners have passed?!?! It was the first thing I thought of when Philadelphia lost the game on that throw home. In both instances, the brain fart led to a bad throw
I showed my newborn this video right after he came out of the womb
“cmon Luis Castillo it!” Is still something we say in this house if we are hoping someone drops a popup
Plus the wife being a Mets fan makes it a little fun too š
The good ol days when these things happened *for* us.
Now they happen *to* us.
Iām so grateful for this moment. My Mets fan older sister was gloating mid-play and I ended the night doing victory laps in the hallway.
The one year ARod actually lived up to what we expected every year out of the many years he was a Yankee.
