Jalen Brunson on Knicks’ 11-man rotation in win over Cavs

Learning a little bit about why
learning, what do you know what? All you guys can
do? Is it kind of like that every
season? But if it’s not me coach where the team’s never the
same. So there’s always going to be a learning processing. It is he? Yeah. things are never gonna be the
same obviously, but I think the most important thing
that we do is to come with a clear mind and open to learning open to getting
better. Every year is different. Now
obviously we have a lot of returning guys and stuff like
that so that may be the same but things are
different and it’s all about how you adapt and how you adjust
and learning on the Flies, it’s
going to be good for us. It’s going to keep us fresh. I mean, it’s it’s kind of the
same little bit different at the end of the day, we’re
going to get into actions that matter who has it. And then
we’re going to, we’re going to be aggressive. It’s all about
all about finding the right thing to do at the right time
and I’ll reading each other making plays. So regardless of who’s bringing it
up, it’s everyone’s still a threat be aggressive. Yeah, I mean it’s it’s it’s different but the same time
and I would just what 35 minutes last year I played 3423. So I mean we’re going to harp on this idea of the Menace stuff like
that but regardless you know, a lot of players on this team
that can make plays and play well and I think the best thing about it
is going out there and doing it wearing numbers called and being
ready. And so from that standpoint, you know,
guys are going to be ready guys. Want to be ready to go and assist teammates. I’ll give each
other confidence regardless of who’s in there. I’m very comfortable shooting
the ball regardless of however, I shoot the ball. So I’ve I’ll be I wasn’t comfortable
tonight 5:14, but I mean, I have a comfort level that I’m
very confident with Maybe, as the last two teams
standing, at least in that context was important to include the matter, who’s the player of
the game replying that mean it’s important to. When you’re finding the one, this is game one. And it’s not on us to speculate
what’s gonna happen down the road. We just focus on
getting through now. I think it sets the tone. I think it’s a way to obstacle o’clock defensively. For the most part it’s a you see a TV up there, playing
some defense turn a Defender turn a guy. Now once or twice you know I
seem getting after it and it kind of gives everyone else
juice and so on it’s great to see that and I
think everyone feels like the type of energy. Likely, no, no, I did not get that now.
But Spike, got my mom. A nice one of those fronts and puffed
rackets. So Raven, Jalen, you played alongside
abuse for years now. What did you notice that? The
guards were like, what’s different, you know, he’s always
brought like the Bulldog point of attack defense, but
authentically, it seems like maybe recency bias with a good
night tonight thing in this house. He grown your time playing. Yeah, I think the best thing about him is a when he wasn’t playing that much he was still in the gym. Every
day is doing anything had to do. And I think Think, if I’m not mistaken want to
trade happen, he got an extension and he started
playing. It was like it was he fit right
in? Because he was ready, he was working. He was working his
working. He was ready. So that’s um, that’s a testament to him and What he’s been about since I’ve
seen him now. He’s a hard worker and he’s always gonna be
ready when his numbers called. And when he’s if it’s an off night, he comes
back by the next night. That’s just who he is. It’s like creating a pincher
making reads quicker than that, you’ve noticed an improvement. Um I think the best thing I’ve
noticed about him is that his confidence is growing and
growing regardless of what the situation is you’ve really never that hesitant and I was
going to attack something. If he messes up he messes up. If
it’s gonna come back and be aggressive the next time to so doesn’t lack confidence in that
aspect which is great because you want to have short-term
memory memory as a player positive Nia. We have a long way to go, but we have a lot to learn not
to get better at a lot of details to pay
attention to, and let’s just say, I’m happy as
game one.
