You CANNOT let this happen twice

All right, we’ll be doing a recap of tonight’s Toronto game. And this was a big one. A nine run inning as the Jays secure game. Oh, hold on. Central is telling me we’re doing the wrong sport. Let’s talk Jay’s Sabres. And you know what? The early season Saber hate may have been just what the doctor ordered because look at that. Eight games in, the Buffalo Sabres are sitting in a playoff position largely because of the great play of honestly a few forwards. I saw this pointed out, but right now Josh Don, for example, is an analytical darling and they’ve put together a bunch of solid games, even including that loss I thought against the Canadians. If we see Alex Tuck and especially Tage Thompson have a really productive year, I mean, who knows? Alex Lion has also been great. He’s played all but one game this year, sitting at a 2.61 with a 922. Colton Ellis has also been good in his one game, and now UPPL is back up with the club. So, the Sabres have lots of goalending and Deon Levi gets AHL time. Anyway, some of tonight’s scoring came from a very surprising place. Matias Samuelson got his, wait for it, first of the night. Four minutes into the game, the puck finds him. Bottom of the circle. Nice feed from Mloud and that’s one- nothing. Almost immediately later, the Savers, you know, they do Sabres things. Four players join the rush. Willie Knander is left to grab a chip through ball from Oliver Ecman Larson, and he ties it up. The Sabres, however, would respond just a minute later with a beautiful tic-tac-toe goal, but Austin Matthews would respond with one of the biggest piss missiles of the year. Thompson and Bowen Byron would combine for another pretty goal. Then again in the circle, Matias Samson from Dalene this time, his second goal of the year. Listen, Matias Samson is a defensive defenseman. He’s played 218 NHL games and now after tonight has nine goals, so that’s exciting. The Leafs would bring it to within one, but Samuelson would get the game winner. The game would end with Alex Lion making a big save on the power play with Alex Tuck going the other way and scoring short-handed. Anyway, what do you think of the Savers? Let me know your thoughts down below.

We’ll take a look at the Buffalo Sabres – listen, it’s still early in the season but they’ve found their winning ways! Buffalo Sabres vs Toronto Maple Leafs on tonight’s NHL hockey video.

  1. ever since Stolorz threw his team mates under the bus, he has joined the rank of the ugliness… remember; when you point a finger, theres 4 pointing back at you….Leafs JUST SUCK, END OF STORY! Thankfully the good folks of Toronto has the Jays to get their hopes up.

  2. Stolarz v. Lyon? Both ex-Flyers. Seems to be a lot of good goalies in the NHL that are ex-Flyers. I heard that Bobrovsky guy is doing pretty good too.

  3. I was at the game. Stolarz made a few good saves, but overall was terrible. A lot of leaf floaters. The 4th line played really well. Buffalo played well against Toronto and deserved the win.

  4. I think that Buffalo is a joke of a hockey team. Embarrassing that one fan had to say it out loud for this team to start playing well. Which to me seems like they always had it.

  5. I genuinely think that in the next two years the sharks and sabres could be rlly good contenders for a playoff run both teams futures look so much better than compared to recent years

  6. as a sabres fan the only way I'm believing this team is if they make the playoffs. until then I'm just happy they're having fun

  7. I almost cut the video seeing the bball at first…so many goals lately by perfect passes from the corner or behind the goalline to an open sniper who one-times it past the helpless goalie. Goalies today are incredible but cannot react quickly enuf on those in-close laser beam shots.

  8. Regardless of whether the Sabres are good or bad, they're fun to watch and have several breakout candidates who are on track to do just that.

  9. As a detroit fan, I was really sad to see Lyon go. The man can pull off insane moves under pressure. But i do hope him and his Lyon Eyes continue to be amazing. Enjoy the long running lyon eyes bit, Buffalo fans, you're in for a treat.

  10. I’m from Buffalo, just want this team to succeed man, this city is a massive hockey city if we could be good and make playoffs, the franchise has just let us all down
