  4. Dang, our owners use playoff appearances as an excuse as to why there’s no need to try to win.

  12. They’ll sign castoffs nobody wants for cheap to start the year and wait to do anything worthwhile until the trade deadline like always. If John really cares about winning, he’ll open up the checkbook for Naylor, Polanco and other bats to extend the lineup.

  25. I mean, that’s nice and all but it says nothing about spending and extending contracts or if they plan to be aggressive again in trade. Where is the re-assurance for those doubting they will be spend a bit more?
