  1. Makes me think this run is going to be like 2001 and now they’ll go on another 20 year playoff drought

  2. Dang, our owners use playoff appearances as an excuse as to why there’s no need to try to win.

  3. Nice gesture, but I’ll wait until March to change my opinions on how this ownership works.

  4. Great so what are you going to do to try and make sure they get back to that point next year.

  5. They’ll sign castoffs nobody wants for cheap to start the year and wait to do anything worthwhile until the trade deadline like always. If John really cares about winning, he’ll open up the checkbook for Naylor, Polanco and other bats to extend the lineup.

  6. “The Northwest deserves a World Series” is the sort of cursed statement that ends with Portland winning it all before Seattle.

  7. I mean it does seem genuine but his front office needs to be smart this offseason and actually make some meaningful moves, we’ll see

  8. Forgive me I don’t know the name of the pitcher that gave up the 3 run home run to Springer. But I hope he’s doing alright, that must not be easy.

  9. “Beginning tomorrow, every mariners fan will receive digital vouchers for the Nintendo Switch 2”

  10. The monkeys paw curls. The world series 2030 championship battle is a game 7 19 inning slugfest between the Montreal Expos and the Vancouver Sockeys. Canadian Expansion let’s go

  11. i hadn’t heard about mariners fans waiting for the team at the airport with “thank you” signs. that’s awesome

  12. I mean, that’s nice and all but it says nothing about spending and extending contracts or if they plan to be aggressive again in trade. Where is the re-assurance for those doubting they will be spend a bit more?

  13. Better not let both Naylor and Eugenio walk. Gotta build off this run and not be fine with just making the playoffs.

  14. *”Dear, Seattle fans.”*

*”We don’t have any words and we know you don’t want to hear them.”*

*”We understand your anger, your frustration, your sadness. Everything you’re feeling – we get it.”*

*”This isn’t the ending we imagined, and certainly not the one we wanted. Thank you for being there the entire way.”*

    • John Stanton, Chairman of the Seattle Mariners

  15. Twins owner wrote this letter after the 2023 playoffs. Proceeded to right size the payroll.

  16. Watch out and get ready for the “We need $500 million in taxpayer money to renovate T-Mobile Park to stay competitive.”
