Same/similar rule applies in minor hockey… in my nephews game (U13) this evening an obvious icing went off the linesmen’s skate and the ref blew the play dead. Only thing that kept it from being a centre ice draw was a kid behind the play subsequently got a penalty.
I hope he tells the store in 3 decades he scored in the NHL
That’s bullshit, Rule 78.5 is bullshit, the ref is in play.
Understanding the rules of the sport is pretty important. That this is not a goal is pretty clear. In soccer, the referee is considered part of the field and this would be a goal.
