  1. I know Clyde is known for his rhymes, but sometimes he drops golden one liners like this.

I think around January of 2015, was watching a Knicks game, they were down in DC

As they’re going to commercial Breen alluded to how cold it was and Clyde goes “Yeahhh, weather so cold it’s got politicians hands in their ownnnn pockets”

  2. Knicks fans are so lucky to have Breen and Clyde as their commentators. They’re better than most national tv commentary teams

  3. Feel bad for Walt. Last time he saw the Knicks win a championship, he was on the floor.

  4. Clyde is arguably one of the best two way players ever at times people don’t understand how good dude was

  5. They showed a clip of him sticking the microphone in the face of a bunch of shy kids and he goes “it’s funny giving a kid a microphone is one way to shut them up”.

  6. To be fair, Pat a was pretty good backup guard for 9 years in the NBA. I remember him on the Laker team (behind West & Goodrich) … nice backup.

  7. Riley backed up Jerry West on the Lakers

Guarding frazier was one thing, but you know riles was guatding jerry in practice..
After his playing career, riles went with scouting to coaching, as assistant coach for the lakers.

Jery buss wanted to appoint jerry west, who had moved from coaching to the front office, to the head coach position. Or at least co-head coach with riles.

West declined. Jerry buss went ahead and announced the co head coach anyway. West picked up the microphone and declined the job in public

West later said that riley made mistakes early out (including calling for players the lakers had cut to play). West said he himself lasted 3 games on the bench with riles So west took a step back, let riles alone and go up the learning curve, and yhe rest is history

    > Riley had no idea what he was doing. He’d call to put guys in the game that we had cut the week before or to sub in guys who were already on the floor,”

    > I lasted about three games on the bench,” recounted The Logo. “**I had to go to my office and let him learn on his own. The alternative was that I’d kill him.”**
