COMPLETE GAME AGAIN 🤯 Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s masterful outing in Game 2 of World Series | 山本由伸ハイライト

Yoshino Yamamoto is second in the National League behind Paul SK with a 249 during the regular season and after his complete game against the Brewers 183 in the postseason. Yeah, good luck trying to eliminate one of these pitchers. They’re all good and the Blue Jays have never seen him really. Another 2-2 curve gets him swinging. Just the fourth strike out of the playoffs of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to first and caught by Freeman on the fly. Both runners back to the bat and a chance for Yamamoto to get out of this unscathed. There it goes. It’s a curve that falls in for strike three and VO like a house by the side of the road watches it and the Jays watch a scoring opportunity in this first inning slip through their fingertips. Strike three called on Barger. Fast ball in there at the knees. Counter for Lea. offs a curveball to center field for Andy Pahes who are going to get him on one pitch. Shot to short. Bets down to get it to his feet into first in time. Mookie Betts. What a transformation from right field to short and one of the best in the game defensively. Helps his buddy over at first. Down this time on the high fast ball. Fourth K for Yamamoto. ends a high drive to center field that is plenty deep enough to tie up game two. Here comes George Springer. It’s 1-1. Alejandro Kirk gets it done. The Blue Jays have been leaning on Yamamoto from the start and they finally break through. Easy one for Freddy Freeman. And that’ll do it for the Blue Jays in the third. He swings and hits a number to first base. Freddy flips it to Yamoto. Wins a foot race to the bag. Barger sends a fly ball to center field. Pah goes back on it and puts it away. Two out. Bouncing ball to short from Muki Bats. Yamamoto finally has a clean inning. Swatted to left. Hernandez for the first out. Routine for Muny. Two up, two down. Bounce back to him. Yamamoto’s got it. Takes his time. throws to first and ends the inning. It’s another one, two, three inning. Namoto’s gotten his last six outs on 14 pitches. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. grounds one up the middle. Ricochets to second. Tommy Edmond from short center field throws him out. The curve gets him to wave and miss. Yoshino Yamamoto with his fifth strike out of the game against this deadly Toronto offense. Shadow center. Betts is there. Three up, three down again. Ground ball to third. Muny’s got it. One away in the seventh. Roller to first. Saw him off. 3-1. Two out like that to bats it short. Backhand stab. Lobs it across and three ground ball outs. Yamamoto with 14 in a row. Retired. Sniffing it again. Sniffing the finish line. Fouled into the glove. Strike three. strikes out Springer with a fast ball. That thing blazing to the top of the zone. Yamamoto seven. His one two to Lucas fast the knees to get him looking. He strikes out the side in the eighth. Something special brewing here for Yoshobu Yamamoto. Try to join the likes of Oral Hershiser to deal backto-back complete game wins in the postseason. Curve off the end of the bat. Freeman to first. One away in the ninth. Kirk sends a line drive to center field. Justin Dean is there. Two gone in the ninth. Well, we’ve mentioned this several times. It would have been almost a decade since anybody had pitched a complete game in the postseason. Yamamoto an out away from doing it backto back starts. The one-two pitch popped up left side. Yamamoto goes the distance again. World Series mastery. Yoshi Nou Yamamoto, game two of the World Series against the Blue Jays, has thrown a complete game, retiring the final 20 that he faces. Success. No error.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched all nine innings for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2 of the World Series, allowing only one earned run while striking out eight against the Blue Jays.

  9. HP umpire, ADRIAN JOHNSON was deliberately trying very very hard to give the game to jays by squeezing Yoshi so many times and giving jays pitchers wide strike zone. But Yoshi persevered. CAN'T WAIT till the ABS SYSTEM will be FULLY IMPLEMENTED. Adrian Johnson should get fired.

  10. HP umpire, Adrian Johnson was trying so hard to rig the game for jays. He gave Valdimer Guerrero jr 5 strikes every at bat yet the same umpire called every borderline pitches against Ohtani.

  14. I like the fact that Dodgers allow their starting pitchers to go the distance of the entire game when they are pitching well…something big league managers have gotten away from and have cost them dearly.

  24. 0:15 Alex Rod said Yamamoto's excellent pitching that day was due to the fact that he was able to throw a slow curveball to Guerrero Jr. even with runners on first and third and the count at 3-2.

  28. He had 15 ground outs against the Brewers in NLCS, this game he had 11 ground outs. Combination of ground outs, strike outs, pop fly or in-field flies and minimal fly outs. That's why he is is so good. It is very hard to consistently get consecutive hits against him. So the only way you can score is to hit a homerun when he makes a mistake, but the number of meatballs or mistake he gives can be counted with one hand or less.

  31. His pitching, a product of that physique combining flexibility and strength, never fails to astonish and impress us.
    If he were to excel in another sport, it might well be professional bowling… for he throws a variety of pitches and can even get a split.↷🎳 🎃

    約一千年前の『京の五条の橋の上』を思い出させます。
    大の男(大男)の弁慶が小柄な牛若丸(源義経)に翻弄されて降参します。以来主従関係が生涯続きました。
    ちなみに義経は、大谷翔平のお父さんが、翔平と名付ける前に義経という名前にしたかった、というほど敬愛している日本では有名な武将です。
    山本に日本人の魂を感じた素晴らしい試合でした。
