The only time I remember us beating a legit AFC contender in the Shanahan era was vs the Bengals on the road in 2021 when the Bengals made the Super Bowl that year, otherwise it feels like whenever we go up against a legit AFC contender that has a great defense, we almost always tend to struggle on offense and end up losing.

50/50 = “almost always”
friggin idk man, they took a magic item that lets AFC teams make attack rolls with advantage
Stop looking at stats since 2017. Stats since 2019 are the only relevant ones.
Because Brock doesn’t have toes?
It’s always felt to me like they don’t really matter in the regular season. Division and conference games are much more important it seems, which I kind of agree with.
Poor preparation. IDK why this coaching staff gets the benefit of the doubt so much.
Don’t know, my conspiracy theory for today’s game:
This AFC game against the Texans didn’t matter.
Better to come out the game healthy against next weeks NYG and even more importantly the Lambs and Cards, than to go at full tilt and lose another defensive or offensive player. Hopefully HUFF is OK.
This was a NFC West Bye week for everyone.
Backwards pass in the 4th to CMC!!??
Elite defensive teams
We already suck against mobile QBs, but when they are “Elite” and mobile hence the record, burrow is not that mobile
That animated pic could be used for Purdy or Mac lol
They usually have great and heavy DL our happy feet agile OL.
Usually a lot of travel.
We have a great record in division since 2019. So really question is why are we about a .500 team outside division
I think it’s just because Kyle prioritizes wins vs nfc teams for seeding. His game plans are always pretty vanilla vs afc teams.
Man the team just wasn’t in it today. Injuries didn’t help at all
Uhh, Shanahan’s win record is only 0.550 to begin with. So there’s not much difference to begin with.
10 am games for west coast teams is dumb af
“And playoffs” means Super Bowl games, exclusively
Because these games are less important and we’ve been injured for years now. Batting .500 isn’t even struggling
The afc has almost all of the good QBs with offenses built around their strengths not to mention the elite defensive structures a lot of the afc teams are using it’s really just luck of the draw that so many afc teams are good right now the pendulum will swing the other way eventually
1. 20-20 isn’t a bad record
2. All the elite QBs are in the AFC. Turns out it’s really hard to beat Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson
3. NFC wins are more valuable to playoff seeding than AFC wins. Shanahan likely spends more time game-planning against NFC opponents than AFC opponents
Do we think Kyle will start making Oline more of a priority outside of LT? We just gave Colton more money. Puni should be alright. We dont know what we have in Bartch yet. We gotta replace brendel and I dont know what we can do with trents deal. I just know that Kyle could have the leagues best offense if he invested in the line. Its weird to have a Kyle offense that can’t run the ball. I miss having those dominant teams in the trenches. We’ve always had that in SF. I hope we get back to that.
If we don’t play better we will lose to the Titans too. We’re definitely losing to the colts.
Swept by the entire division.
Today was a joke.
