I know everyone thinks the refs are against them. I will admit they were pretty rough today. Didn't really seem to be any more in our favor, and DEFINITELY a Birds win regardless.

  1. I hope they keep Daboll so he can ruin any chance Dart has at being a solid QB for the Giants

  2. Id say both controversial calls were 70/30 in favor of the giants. Just didn’t do their way both times

  3. The refs were awful, but they were not favoring the Eagles. There was the early whistle on the push fumble and the weak OPI, but there was also Jalen’s run that was a clear first down (and if it wasn’t, it was a late hit) and Dart’s incomplete pass that was actually a fumble.

  4. Nobody wants to mention that Jalen got the 1st down on the play before the tush push. And also Dart didn’t get the first down on that slide a little earlier. The refs were abnormally terrible today.

  5. They literally missed a very obvious 4th and 3 where the Giants were very clearly in the neutral zone, didn’t replay after the eronious whistle on the Jake Elliott miss, and called back that Jaxson Dart fumble.

The refs were bad, but they sure as hell didn’t favor us.

  6. The constant crying about refs is getting so old. Fans of every single losing team just immediately flood social media and scream “*insert any team* vs refs” every single time their team loses.

  7. Watching Giants fans cry that the refs rigged the game in our favor has been pretty funny tbh.

  8. They forget that the week before they needed 2 terrible calls to go their way in order to tie it up at the end of the game. I guess because they still blew it

  9. The tush push was a fumble. They blew that one for sure. The OPI usually doesn’t get called, but it was apparent both live and during the replay.

Dart fumbled. Overturning that was a joke.

I’ve seen the Eagles get hosed by enough calls in my life that I have no qualms about being on the benefiting side of it. Soon enough it’ll swing back the other way.

  10. the whistle blew early on that tush push fumble. Hurts was still fighting forward and he was not down and the defender took the ball from him. that was just wrong, first down marker is not the goal line. not reviewable cuz whistle blew

  11. The he blew up on wasn’t even an incorrect call either. That’s textbook OPI. You can’t extend the arm like that and you sure as hell can’t push the DB off the route. In real time speed, you could see how much he pushed Q back.

The broadcasters were just looking at the slow mo reply, which only shows the arm and not the force of the push.

  12. I don’t give two shits about the blown calls or sanctimonious people bitching on r/nfl. Refs miss calls all the time but it’s a fucking crisis when the tush push is involved.

The Giants receiver committed offensive pass interference twice on Mitchell and the negated touchdown call was correct because he pushed the shit outta Mitchell. We ran all over d’em hoes. Can’t blame that on the refs.

  13. Anyone notice that in skatebo’s 1st TD, dean blitzed, and was held, tackled, and just all around mugged, with no call?
    Should have been brought back
    Then hurts fumbled. But didnt.
    Makeup call?

  14. I can’t explain the science behind it but it feels like the Eagles have to do everything completely within the rules, to the letter, to receive the benefit of a good call or a close one, but the teams that play us get nuance.

  15. their post game thread is maybe the single most embarrassing thread ive read its glorious.

  16. I think all NFL fans can agree that the refs are bad basically every game. And by bad I simply mean inconsistent. If they were at least consistently bad like an umpire’s shitty strike zone then we’d have less room to complain.

  17. He had every right to lose his cool, Jalen got stripped fair and square and we lucked out on an early whistle. Nick went after the officials after that errant whistle during Jake’s missed kick and he was right to. Bad officiating.
