Why did the Pittsburgh Steelers lose to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football in week eight? It’s pretty simple to me. This coaching staff doesn’t understand what the biggest issue with the team is, which is easily their passing defense. This week, all we heard from Mike Tomlin, Terrell Austin, TJ Watt, Cam Hayward was, “We got to fix the run game.” Well, you give up not that many rushing yards in this game, at least before garbage time, and you still gave up that many passing yards to Jordan Love, who once again got the ball out super quickly, negating the Steelers pass rush. There was guys running wide open versus the Steelers man coverage, specifically against guys like Jaylen Ramsay and Darius Slay. Uh, but there was certainly others like Chuck Clark, who once again had a full workload. And now with Deshawn Elliot out for god knows how long, this defense needs to figure it out. They need to figure out they are not a man coverage team and they got to make some big changes fast or Mike Tomlin and Terrell Austin’s going to be out of here in a pronto.

If I'm Mike Tomlin, why would I do anything different? If the regular season records consistently look respectable, that's all the boss man seems to be happy about. So why risk anything? He's rich and has a championship (from a billion years ago). This is about ownership more than anything else. A business owned by one family sounds great and all until one of the sons takes over and puts his feet up.
Because the defense stinks
Last game it was the excuse we were on a dhort week for the Bengals…..this week they look poor on 10 days off at home 😅……next excuse 😅

It would have helped if the refs knew what the hell offsides means.
The refs also missed some very game changing penalties that definitely effected the pace of the game
Defense just look bad especially in pass coverage and tackling not to add very little pass rush and no one's trying to strip the ball
Its not s race thing cause these same low life fans wanted Cowher fired now they watch all the nostaligic videos and say DUH HE WASNT THAT BAD AFTER ALL.

the refs were on Green Bay side we had some terrible calls on use that's why we loss not because of Mike Tomlin or are defense I mean yes are defense has to play better but come on refs

Still shaking my head we got rid of George Pickens a solid number 2 receiver. I’m just baffled as we still don’t have a good number 2 receiver and it’s showing. 🤬

I've been a diehard Steeler since the 70s… time for a new Owner … HC,DC ,OC new blood the last two SB team was BC…MT went to the SB with his team he never built a SB team or a playoff soo why is he still there he's had ALL the veterans he wanted highest paid D no results more excuses

The defensive secondary is horrible! Simple answer your not tackling! The front defensive line is not causing havoc , Watt has been non existent in the past 3 weeks

I'm not surprised you have a 31 year old Ramsey, Slay can't run anymore, Clark was never good in coverage despite how he looked in a few games against the Steelers, Thornhill was available because he was bad and Porter can't catch the ball to make up for PI's and his poor effort at tackling. The group as a whole has been really bad at tackling. So the problem is the people who put this group together
