Who has the better all-time lineup: Mariners x Blue Jays #alcs

Who has the more successful franchise in MLB history? The Mariners or the Blue Jays? Vlatty versus the Dumper? The 2025 ALCS could go either way. But let’s start at the beginning with both franchises joining the MLB in 1977 as expansion teams. Toronto with a 49% all-time winning percentage. Seattle with 47%. By MLB standards, both pretty mid. Toronto has 11 trips to the postseason. Seattle with just six, making the ALCS four times. Toronto with eight. Toronto won two AL pennants, winning both World Series. And as of this year, Seattle has yet to make it past the ALCS. So, history could be made. Both Seattle and Toronto with two MVPs. Ken Griffy Jr. and Ichiro for the Mariners. George Bell and Josh Donaldelson for the Jays. Five Sai Youngs in Toronto. Holiday Clemens and most recently Robbie Ray. Just two for Seattle. Randy Johnson in ’95 and King Felix in 2010. The Mariners are tied for the regular season wins record was 116 in 2001. But in ’92 and 93, Toronto went back to back. Franchise legends on both sides. Seattle got Griffy, Ichiro, Edgar, Beltree, the unit. And in the six, they got guys like Halliday, Delgado, Carter, Joey Bats. At the end of the day, rings talk. So, right now, Toronto got it. But Seattle’s got the opportunity to do something special. Y’all tell me who you

MARINERS VS BLUE JAYS…who you got?? #mlb #baseball #mariners #bluejays #ALCS #seattle #toronto @the_deucey

  2. I rmbr following the jays in the mid 90s, they were such exciting teams w players going in and out with the likes of Delgado Green Clemens Canseco Cruz Jr Hentgen Fernandez Carpenter Halladay
Those teams were stacked but we always fail to make the playoffs being in the AL East. Being a Jays fan was pretty miserable until the mid 2010’s. And now ten years later, baseball is exciting again.
Honestly if we lose to the Mariners, I’ll be rooting for them all the way and hope they win one. This franchise deserves it.

  3. One team got a world series the other team don't there's nothing else to say now if you say who has the better all-time lineup you can say Seattle

  4. The Mariners in the mid to late ‘90s had a ridiculous line up.
Griffey is my favorite player of all time and it’s not even close.
Griffey, A-Rod, Jay Buhner, Edgar and Tino Martinez, Dan Wilson, Joey Cora, Mike Blowers, Paul Sorento.
Jamie Moyer, Jeff Fassero, oh and one of the most dominant starting pitchers of all time in Randy Johnson.
Three members of the Baseball Hall of Fame….Griffey, Edgar Martinez, and Randy Johnson.
Had he not tarnished his reputation, A-Rod would have been the fourth Hall of Famer. He was more than good enough before the steroid scandal to get the call.
Having said all that….The Mariners didn’t win back-to-back championships.
    LETS GO BLUE JAYS!!!

  5. Dave Stieb was better than Halladay, but he pitched in a smaller park with a team that was just getting their feet wet, as he joined the team in late 78 prior to becoming a regular in 1979.
