I am interested in doing a tour of Oracle Park. I was just looking at doing one during the off season but it seems very similar to the Giants Fan Fest from prior seasons. The places you go are almost identical and of course there are no players to say hi to. Do you think I should wait until the season starts or go now?
Has anyone done both and can offer insight? Or even if you have only done one, would you do the same tour again or choose the other one?

  1. An advantage of doing a tour in the offseason is they let you go to areas you wouldn’t see while games are happening, or at least that was my experience. Our guide said more than once that we wouldn’t be in particular places if games were happening.

  2. Off-season I imagine they let you tour the clubhouse or parts of it. Sharks do that during the off-season when they’re trying to shill season tickets.

  3. The big thing about the offseason is that you may not get as great an opportunity to see the field, as it may be under maintenance, torn up, or covered as other events are going on.

  4. I went in the offseason and got to go back to the visiting clubhouse, which is off limits during the season. I’m not sure if getting to go into the dugout was possible during the season or not.
