I mean giving up a 31 yard conversion run to a backup RB has to be peak Giants.

  1. I think a healthy Toth vs a banged up Jergens played a major role in this game. On this play, watch him destroy the DB.

  5. The amazing part is that they got the first down by running the ball. The second most amazing part is that they got the first down by running the ball with Saquon on the sideline. I couldn’t believe what I’d just seen.

  6. That Bigsby run there got me so hype, my first thought was “ok here’s where we run it twice and punt”

  7. I was in the car and Merrill was like “just your standard 2nd and 31 handoff for a first down to the backup RB” or something to that effect

    Edit: Maybe first pre-3rd down.

  11. Their was a two second period right as Hurts turned around to hand the ball off that I was pissed at the playcall……then it worked.

  12. That has to be so demoralizing for the defense. You go and get this fantastic sack, back your opponent up to an absolutely absurd distance, and then not only do they get it all back in one play, but they do it on a rushing play.

  14. It ended the game. You could literally see their souls leave their bodies as he crossed the first down marker.

  17. Only part of hurts game that I think he can and needs to approve on is throwing the ball away. This play was set up because he did not throw the ball away. 3 or 4 plays yesterday that this was the case.

  22. i am worried about patullo seeing this play work and coming to the conclusion that this is still an acceptable play call in this situation.

  26. Tank needs more carries and Dotson needs more targets. The more we spread the ball around the easier it gets for everyone.

  27. On one hand, this was fricken awesome.

    On the other hand? Running there is not only a bad idea, predictable for the Eagles at this point, but it also will now be used as an excuse for the runs on 2nd/3rd and long again in the future, which personally I hope I never see again lol.

    They also did it earlier in the game with Saquon on a 2nd and long where he got nowhere, then the 3rd down play was a beautiful pass to Smitty that fell just short….its like…why wasn’t THAT play the 2nd down play?

    Idk. Awesome play, offense looked much better overall, things are looking up. Still some head scratching things we won’t get away with against the Packers, Lions, Bills of the world.

  28. It’s plays like this that really make me chuckle when I hear Giants fans say the refs handed Eagles a win. Yeah they were terrible, but so are the Giants.

  29. The amount of shit talking on Toth before this game was wicked. I think it’s safe to say I’d rather have a healthy Toth over a banged up Jergens

  33. KP’s precious inside zone worked for once. Reminded me of the 3rd and 17 vs Jags last year before half where Barkley went off.
