Green Bay Packers play their best game in win over Steelers | Pro Football Talk | NFL on NBC
I do think something to do with that is what we saw last night from the Green Bay Packers. First off, I feel like Green Bay’s fan base believes right now. They think they’re going to the Super Bowl. So, that I think always brings out a stronger presence and they’ve been overlooked in the whole conversation of who’s the best team in the NFC. It’s either the Eagles or the Lions and then maybe the Rams get mentioned. The Packers have just kind of been glossed over. They haven’t been playing be their best football the last few weeks. Ever since the Cleveland Brown game where they messed up and Jordan Love threw the interception late in the fourth quarter, we kind of felt like almost a feeling that we got with this Eagles a few weeks ago where you’re just like, “Wait, what’s this team doing? This team’s too talented to be playing like this.” Like, we’re squeaking by the Cardinals. We’re letting the Bengals hang around. That shouldn’t be. And I think in the second half last night, we saw the first two weeks of the year Packers team where things clicked. Jordan Love was extremely efficient. the defense started to put pressure on Rogers. People weren’t open. They obviously made some halftime adjustments to kind of stop Rogers and the Steelers from all the dink and dunk stuff and the playmakers from the Packers just started to show up all over the football field. And Jordan Love, uh, you know, again, you know, showed the Green Bay fan base, hey, Aaron Rogers was awesome, but you got me now and I’m damn good. I’m one of the better quarterbacks in football. And the one thing I love about him, you know, is his ability to look down the field and be aggressive and try to throw big throws down the football field that changed the game. And man, he had a whole lot of that in the second half of the football game. I mean, the two throws, the big throw to Tucker Craft, the big throw that we just saw with Christian Watson right there down the middle of the field, those were both kind of look what I found throws catches a little bit. They were one was a blitz. He knew he threw it to the right spot. He goes, “Wait, this guy’s one-on-one, but the ball wobbled in the air.” And then we watched Tucker Craft make an amazing play. And we’re watching Tucker Craft become one of the best tight ends in football, if not the best. Did you know it was national tight end yesterday? I mean, did I know I don’t need to be reminded of it. Yeah. Thank you. Like like there’s a point where Shut up. We know it’s National Tight End Day. Yeah. Right. But but within all that, you know, I think we saw the Packers playmakers and with Christian Watson back in the lineup, their offense goes to another level of scariness. And I knew they were excited about having him back in this one. I had talked to people during the week in Green Bay, even on the field yesterday, right? Matt Laflur in the pregame to me, he goes, “Hey, having Watson’s back is is big.” He goes, “I I kind of feel like that’s Jordan Love’s favorite target as is anyway.” So to have him on the field is going to be good for Jordan. And as you see, it also just opens up the offense because he’s a guy that defenders look at corner safeties and go, “Oh crap, we better backpedal because he can run by us for a 70 yard bomb.” And I think it’s going to make their whole offense a lot more efficient going forward. It’s so amazing how different a guy looks in uniform and not in uniform because we saw Christian Watson in Dallas. He was on the field just like in warm-ups without the uniform on and then last night in uniform. It’s like these guys transform into superheroes when they put the uniform on, don’t they? Well, when the uniform, well, I think we saw him on the sidelines. He was kind of dressed in like fashionable baggy stuff when we saw him in Green Bay. So, you don’t get appreciation for maybe how big he is and how muscular he is. And then he comes out in a uniform where it’s like, whoa, that thing’s skinned tight and you go, “Holy crap, he’s got a pair of legs on him. Holy crap, he’s he’s big and got some broad shoulders on them, right?” And he’s a specimen that way. The Packers are a specimen football team. You know, I’m into the look test very much. And I think you might have heard me maybe after the pregame when we got into the the viewing room again, I just went, man, you know, I know I said this last time, but Green Bay being on the field with them, they’re an impressive looking football team. Got the right look at O line, Dline, got a tight end and receiver that are all like, oh, all their tight ends are good-looking. The receivers are all good-looking. The running backs are thick and stout, and we know the defense looks that way, too. So yeah, I’m very impressed with Green Bay and if they could play like they did in the second half last night, they’re one of the best teams in football and one of those short list teams that I think you and me always talk about to go not just a playoff team, a team that can win the Super Bowl when they’re playing their best. And that’s what Green Bay is. Absolutely. And again, they’ve done it quietly cuz that that loss to the Browns kind of stained them at a time when the Eagles were flying high and the Lions were reestablish reestablishing themselves after losing to the Packers. I mean, the Packers had those first two wins. We’re like, here we go. Bad Browns and then it’s like tie against the Cowboys where you’re like, wait, you were controlling the game and you let the Cowboys back in it. guy talking about going undefeated and and they they lost that game to the Browns and it just kind of took the air out of it. But they’ve been slowly and quietly and discreetly pumping the air back in and here they are and they’ve been the number one seed in the NFC for a little while now, but they’re 5-1 and one. That’s technically the best record in football. I know some teams have six wins, but they’ve won five of seven games with only one loss. That that tie is going to help. That tie is going to help them. It’s going to break a tie somewhere. It’s going to avoid a tiebreaker somewhere by having that tie unless there are more ties as the season unfolds. But they they look really good and to come into Pittsburgh and score 35 points regardless of whether or not the crowd is is 9010 or 6040. Hi, it’s Mike Fuio. Thanks for watching PFT on YouTube. Watson bullllkkkked up when injured.
And they go to face again Aaron Rodgers in the super bowl Aaron Rodgers says he wants another crack at him
The Steelers' defense is bad, their offense is meh. They've got the Colts and Chargers coming up. They'll get steamrolled by both.
Whyd they cut this mid conversation?
Can't wait till we get Reed back. Hope Love and Golden develop a connection because he's open and being missed for some easy TDs. We really need to pick up a CB before the trade deadline.
The torch has been passed…..
GO PACKERS GO
Marshall Faulk failed the look test but…
Very lazy takes based on the Packers play this season. You guys don't watch. They've been balling and Love has been playing clutch.
FYI Tucker Krafts nickname is Warlord.
If we can get (and stay) healthy there'll be no stopping my Pack.
“Packers haven’t been playing well since the Browns game”. They’re still 3-0-1 since that game. That’s what good teams do, they find ways to win. Imagine when they figure it out 😳
Idc what anyone says, this packers team should win the Super Bowl
Under C.Noll & B.Cowher = The Defense is the reason Steelers WIN
Under Tomlin = The reason Steelers Lose.
Love put his team in position to win every game this season.
I've been waiting on someone 2 mentioned the eye test. Been a PACKERS fan my whole life. Dix 25' Packers team is a UNIT…
Jayden Reed is missing as well. The Pack have a scary group of pass catchers, and I’m super excited for Emanuel Wilson.
And yet Jayden Reed is arguably their best WR and he’s not back yet. A loooot of talent in that GB WR core
