HYPOTHETICAL: Trading Jazz Chisholm Jr. for Salary Relief | Could It Happen?
There is a number every single year that Hal Steinberg gives Brian Cashman that he does not want him going over salary-wise. Now, Cashman apparently does have the ability to go over that number, but he has to get it approved by Hal. You are Locked on Yankees, your daily New York Yankees podcast, part of the Locked Onet. On today’s show, we’re going to talk about the Angels hiring of Kurt Suzuki and the contract he got because it’s kind of interesting. We’re also going to have a discussion about, this is something that I found on Reddit, about how the Yankees and the Mariners were really good at a specific thing until they faced the Blue Jays in the playoffs. So, we’re going to talk about that in segment two. But first, here’s something that’s going to garner some discussion in our comments and in the chat when this goes up at 3:00 in the morning. Should the Yankees trade Chaz Jisum Jr.? Yes. Uh I think there’s plenty of motivation uh to be able to move him. He’s a very wanted player around the league. uh the contract that he iso he is wanting I think is going to be a lot bigger than the Yankees are planning on giving him. I think there’s a lot of reasons out there for why the Yankees could potentially want to move Jazz Chisen Jr. Let’s keep into account first off there is a number every single year that Hal Steinberard gives Brian Cman that he does not want him going over salary wise. Now, Cashman apparently does have the ability to go over that number, but he has to get it approved by Hal. They did it in the judge off season, that has to get approved by Hal. But if he wants to get under that number, but and sign a Kyle Tucker, a Cody Bellinger, he’s going to have to free up some space somehow. And I think the way that he’s going to want to do that is with Jazz Chisum Jr. and clearing up that contract. Jazz’s arbitration number is going to probably go up pretty significantly seeing that he’s coming off of a 3030 season and it’s his last year of arbitration before he becomes a free agent. To me, that’s the only thing that is a negative in trading for Jazz Chisen Jr. is that he’s on his last year of arbitration there. You know, he could be gone in a year. You could lose him in a year now. However, whoever trades for him could be more motivated to sign Jazz to a longer term deal because of the lockout hitting. Jazz is gonna want to sign a deal to protect himself financially. The team might want to be able to keep their player around long term and it might get them at a better price and Jazz might sign just to get the guaranteed money in his pocket. So, there is that, too. Um, I want to preface by saying I do think he’ll be on the opening day roster for the Yankees. I don’t think they’re going to trade him, but I think it’s worth exploring and I do think they should trade him if they get the opportunity to. the Tigers exit press conference after their series ended le last they interviewed all the uh the GM the brass the management and everything like that and they flat out asked the general manager and AJ Hinch will you guys consider trading TK school this offseason see that there are reports out there that the Tigers and Tarco are about $250 million apart on a contract they wouldn’t deny it and if you’re not going to deny trading your ace m maybe a two times SI Young award winner in a couple weeks in a row, that means he’s on the open market. You should either flat out say no, he’s not available, or yeah, or you know, h we’ll see, but we’ll explore other all options. That means he’s available. So, teams are going to be calling on Tarco Scubble. Now, Stacy, I know Jazz has had a great year, 3030 season. If Tar Scuboo is available, why the heck shouldn’t Jaz Chis Jr. be available? that that’s my mindset on this whole thing. Um, I don’t think he’s ever had a value higher than in the 3030 season he’s coming off. He’s 27 years old, right in the prime of his career. Let’s be honest, too. His career high in home runs prior to coming over to the Yankees was 24. His careerhigh on stolen bases was 22. Now, he had 40 last year, but that was combined with the Yankees and the Marlins. The Marlins were a little more free swinging with letting Jazz make his own decisions because they’re the Marlins and they don’t have anything to play for. So Jazz is kind of stealing bases whenever he feels like it. It’s different than with the Yankees. So this was his first year where he really came close to a 3030 season. Um which is interesting to talk about. One year left on his deal. It is hard to replace a 3030 player in your lineup. But if that means getting Kyle Tucker, don’t you kind of have to do it? Yeah. So I think it’s worth exploring. I think there’s a lot of value here. I think there’s you have to try and make these moves where you’re going to be able to improve your team. Maybe you get a little worse at one position with Jazz, but you’re improving the overall roster. And I think you can do that with this move and you can do that with the Luis Hill move that we discussed yesterday, Stacy. Plus, uh, there is that narrative out there. It is not clear to most people when Jazz gets up to bat whether Jazz is batting for Jazz or batting for the Yank or batting for the Yankees. And you know that’s not really it’s not really meant to be a knock on my part at the player, but it’s just kind of the general general reputation that he has around the league. He is a very free swinging player who is going up there with every at bat trying to hit a 900 foot home run. And there’s not a lot of situational hitting that goes into his his, you know, at bats. And you saw it in the postseason, you saw it throughout the entire season, Stacy, and I know you’d kind of agree with this too. He doesn’t put together situational at bats. It feels like he’s up there in every at bat to try and give Jazz Chisum Jr. a moment and not try to give the New York Yankees a moment. So, I think that needs to be explored, too. That’s an exciting player for some franchises, but I don’t think the Yankees are necessarily looking for that kind of player right now in the middle of their lineup. I think it’s worth exploring. I think he’ll be on the roster. I don’t think it’s going to happen, right? But I think it’s worth shopping him around the league to seeing what you can get. I think what you said about school was funny because you know when we always talk about players going through um arbitration and the news will come out that you know oh uh the the player wants this amount the team wants this amount and it’s like a difference of like 250,000 or like as much as 2 million and when you said how much they were apart I don’t think I made a face but I wanted to make a face because I was like well it makes me wonder who’s who’s asking for the crazier Right? Because someone’s asking for someone’s asking for a number that’s either disrespectfully low on the Tigers or he’s asking for something so astronomically out of control high that it’s that it’s like h I don’t know. You know, most of the times on these debates, I fall on the side of the player because the multi-billion dollar organization can generally afford to give the guy an extra $500,000 to make things work, right? Um, but I find it hard to believe that Tar School is asking for like $700 million here and the Tigers are offering him $450, right? I don’t know if that’s the truth. Also, if he wants 450 or 500, I would be insulted if the Tigers are trying to pay him like 250 250 instead of He’s not worth that. So, you know, I the exact numbers haven’t come out yet, but all I know is when the GM and the manager are asked flat out in the press conference, are you going to trade Tar Scubble? and they say we’ll explore all options. If the Yankees were asked that question about Garrick Cole, Carlos Ordon, Max Freed, they would say no, they are not available. So, keep that keep that in mind. Yeah, that’s interesting. Now, if they do trade Jazz, how do they fill second base? Free agency. Uh possibly another trade. Like, they have pieces and they could make moves. Um, I I don’t think that will be a difficult position to fill it. It’s, you know, and I get it’s it’s difficult to replace a 3030 guy, but I don’t think you’re necessarily looking for a 3030 guy. I think Jazz just clears up salary. And what would you say the odds are right now that he returns to the Yankees in 2026 or 2027? Are they extremely high that they’re going to sign him long term? Oh, no. Exactly. So to me with a year left on his deal coming off of a 3030 year and you’re and if you go into opening day with him you’re not trading your starting second second base at the deadline. So this is the time to do it and I actually think you would get something back for him like of something of significant value. So I don’t know how you don’t at least explore this. What if some team thinks they’re desperate for a Jazz Jr. and like there are teams like that in baseball. What a team that feels like they’re in win now mode or coming off of a playoff spot or you know there’s a lot of teams that could be involved here. The Cincinnati Reds to me are a perfect example that could use a middle infielder who could hit 30 home runs and see a lot of bases. Perfect example for a team that could use him. Um you know a team that’s lesser off but wants to try and add talent for a cheaper price. The Pittsburgh Pirates would love to add a player like that to the middle of their lineup. Now I don’t know if the Yankees are necessarily starving and trading to Pittsburgh. What if Pittsburgh offers you two top tier prospects? You know, how do you turn those kind of things down? And Pittsburgh has a lot of um motivation to try and create a good team with the most financially flexible way they can do it with, you know, their dominant young starting pitching staff. So, like there are options here and especially coming off of a 30 year where the numbers do say that he’s not going to repeat that. He never has to come close to it. So, I don’t know if he’s going to repeat that. He’s a good fielder, not an an unbelievably elite fielder. Um, and all indications are Jazz wants multi-year in an extension. And all indications are Jazz wants pretty significantly highly over market value than what he’s actually worth. And if we know anything about the Yankees, they will sit there stagnant and borderline, dare I say, stubborn on whether or not to give you your market worth. They did it with Derek Jeter. They’re going to do it with Jazz Chisen Jr. Like so if they didn’t want to give Derek Jeter Jeter above his market market value, why the heck would they give Jazz Chisen Jr. above his market value? So if he’s not a guarantee to be on this 2027 roster, why would you not explore moving him now? I just think it’s the time to be honest. We’ll see what happens. A lot of interesting things can happen this off seasonason. So we’ll see what the Yankees do. And from now until spring training, we’re going to take comments as well and we’ll discuss those also on Fmail Friday because we’re trying to jazz things up this off seasonason. Ah, I see what you did there. So, this was interesting to me. I saw this post on Reddit. I want to say it was Tuesday. Yeah, it was Tuesday that I when I saw this post. And it’s from Reddit user Twisted Logic, who happens to be a Blue Jays fan. And the post says, “How hard has it been to strike out the Blue Jays in the playoffs? The Yankees four and Mariners 10 were both elite at striking out hitters in 2025 and got even better in their first playoff series. Then both teams cratered to the worst of the pack when facing the Blue Jays, which I thought was very interesting. So, we have some visuals for you on YouTube and we’ll go through the numbers for the people who are listening because, you know, you can’t see what we’re putting on the screen. So, this is in the wild card round. Now, it’s funny. The Yankees Ker nine is good because it’s 10, but they’re also ranked fifth out of all of the playoff teams, which I find interesting. I kind of think that makes them look bad in a sense because that wild card round includes Cam Schlitler having like one of the great strikeout games ever. Right. Right. Both teams were good at this during the regular season, too. So, I need to preface that with that. So, showing you the wild card stats. So, the Yankees were at a 10 in the wildard round. And wait, hold on. Let’s see. Seattle. Oh, no. They weren’t in the wild card round. That’s right. Cuz they won the division. So then you move on to the divisional round. Seattle’s up there with a 9.52 and then the Yankees drop bad badly to the lowest team left in the playoffs. 6.35. They go Yeah. So they go from a 10 to a 6.35. Not good at all. So you see where Seattle is at a 9.52. So then we move to the LCS and look at where Seattle ends up against the Blue Jays. And look at the other numbers. Toronto is at 10.31. LA is at 10.25. Milwaukeee is even at 9.79. So that’s K per nine. And Seattle dropped down to 5.90 against the Blue Jays. This is what the Blue Jays do to in the playoffs. You could see you could see too the shortened innings because of the way the series went too. Dodgers and Brewers only 36 and 34 innings. The other teams are 60 innings and it’s still at 10ks per nine. That’s wild. Um it’s unbelievably impressive and it’s a huge testament to how good Toronto is at just putting the ball in play. Yeah. And then you have the regular season numbers which I forgot to put in a graphic but I will put it up right now just so we could see it because when I said the Yankees were four and the Mariners were 10, that was when the season ended. So look at that. So LA is at the top, the Dodgers. You have Houston, Philadelphia, the Yankees. Toronto’s at five, interestingly enough. And then you have Seattle at 10. So Seattle had an 8.77 throughout the entire season and the Yankees had a 9.0. And then when they face the Blue Jays in the playoffs, everything changes. They can’t It’s impressive stuff out of Toronto. It is honestly like to be able to put the ball in play like that. It’s very different than the modern day game where teams just don’t put the ball in play at all. Um, it’s certainly really impressive. Uh, I would say this though, I think the Dodgers are also pretty skilled at going to be going to be able to put the ball in play. I like that’s the thing. I think they’re a different kind of team than the Yankees who the Yankees are a strikeout heavy team. So, I think it does change things a little bit when it comes to going up against the Dodgers, right? So, I wonder, is this going to help the Blue Jays against the Dodgers? Is it going to be like a push between the two teams because they’re both good at doing the same thing? Like, I find it interesting. I don’t think the Dodgers are going to drop down too much. No, I’d agree. Uh I just I you know, every time I sit here and try to re-evaluate the series, I I can’t draw up a scenario in my head where this series goes long, right? Because my question is, can the Blue Jays lineup wear down the Dodgers starters, or will the Dodger starters finally be the one to shut down the Blue Jays lineup? I I think it’s I think it’s probably more likely of the of the the second one right there that the Blue Jays like they’re not I don’t know how you get through that Dodger starting rotation because it’s we’ve talked about in other series, right? Because generally when you’re this deep in the postseason, you’ve got aces on your staff that have gotten you here. And the handicap, I guess, that we always give is, oh well, if you get through the race ace and you get through the number two, then you get to the bottom of the rotation, you can kind of make some noise. There is no bottom of the rotation for the Dodgers. It’s all aces that you’re facing. Okay, you get through Yamamoto, then you got to face Snell, then then you got to face Slaz now, then you got to face Otani. Like, there’s no there’s no movement of who you’re going to face. To me, the key for Toronto is going to have to be it not letting the Dodgers like younger, like not even younger, their lower part of their lineup dominate you. Like don’t let those guys take advantage. Don’t because you Otani and Betts and Freeman are going to get theirs. They just are. They’re always going to get theirs. Yeah. You got to make it so when Otani’s up in the fifth inning, there aren’t three guys already on. You can’t let you got to let the damage that those guys are going to cause be be solo shots. When Mookie hits a double, don’t let it be a bases clearing double. You can’t allow that stuff to happen. Yeah. The other key is for Toronto to not change their approach at all. At the plate, it’s got they have to just keep Yep. It’s gotten you here this whole season. It’s gotten you here. The playoffs. It’s gotten you here. You’ve humiliated one pitching staff in the Yankees and you took it to a few of the guys in Seattle and came back from an 02 deficit to win that series in seven. just keep doing what you’re doing. To your point, I I think this is very interesting, too. Uh when Cincinnati faced the Dodgers in the wildard series, Cincinnati’s approach to the Dodgers pitching was just attack, attack, swing early in the count, and go, go, go. And it resulted in the Dodgers pitches throwing deep into games and putting up gems, right? For some weird reason that I don’t really understand, Milwaukee had the same exact approach is we’re just going to swing early and go go go and and just try to and it didn’t work. Once again, shockingly, I don’t know how that happened. That’s really how every team has tried to approach the Dodgers is just free swinging, try to get these guys early in the count and go, go, go. I’m very intrigued to see what if Toronto feels the pressure and tries to attack early in the count or just plays their game and lets the count work and lets these guys, you know, don’t allow Yamamoto to go eight innings. Get into their bullpen. problem is Milwaukee or Cincinnati didn’t get into the Dodgers bullpen. They and if they did, they didn’t do anything against them because their approach at the plate was so bad. The whole postseason though, it was it was it’s been Yamamoto to Shihan to to to um Sasaki. That’s what it’s been the entire and those guys have been able to dominate. You haven’t seen that really that much of that middle part of their rotation. You got to try and get to that part of their team. And I think Toronto, for what it’s worth, is a little more eff to be able to do that because of the amount the amount of pitches they take, right? Yeah, it’s going to be fun. Of course, it doesn’t start for another full day because of the scheduling of the playoffs, so we still have time to wait. Yeah, it’s it’s taking too long. All right, coming up next, we have some news from around the league, including Kurt Suzuki becoming the new manager of the Angels. We’ll talk about that next. And I don’t think it’s very crazy when you call I think it is very crazy to be able to call a billionaire out for being cheap. But we got a couple of scenarios across baseball, but one’s really sticking out over the last 24 hours. So Kurt Suzuki was hired as the as the Angels manager, which was kind of odd because it came out of nowhere. And then it was announced that it was only a one-year contract. Now, there was one explanation that came out that the GM said that he has a year left on his contract and that they were like joined together in some way. That that’s why they did the one-year contract. But I want to hear what your theory is. After 2026, the Major League Baseball Collective bargaining agreement ends, and it is a very, very highly likelihood right now that there will be a lockout for 2027. Um, no word on whether we’re going to play the season or not, but there will be a delay in that off seasonason for sure on even the offseason festivities getting started. And the way a lockout works, Stacy, and I guess the motivation for owners to want to end a lockout if there needs to be one, is players are paid regardless because contracts are fully guaranteed in baseball. It’s the one sport where you have fully fully fully guaranteed no matter what blanket on all your contracts. The owners are going to want ideally to have as little money on the books going into 2027 because they don’t want to pay a lot of money if there’s no baseball being played. And conveniently, the Los Angeles Angels signed Curt Suzuki to a one-year deal before they go into a lockout. So, Arty Marino will save money on paying a manager a couple hundred,000 to not to not pay him because we’re not playing baseball anyway. So, why am I going to pay a manager? When do you ever see a manager get a one-year deal? Yeah. Ever. Or a coach for that matter in any sport? It didn’t even enter my mind because I I don’t really want to think about the lockout because that just sounds like a nightmare to me. So that didn’t even enter my mind. But as soon as you said it, I thought, “Oh, that actually makes sense.” It’s a cheapo move. It is. Now, I want to I want to mention this to you, too, because uh this could be a strategy teams use this offseason in free agency. The teams with more money, Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, Dodgers, you know the list. That’s Yeah. Yeah. The teams with more money that can afford to pay a player next year to not play might have a significant advantage on signing guys this off season because you can a lot a lot of these cheaper teams that don’t want to spend money are going to take themselves out of contract negotiations because they’re not going to want to spend money in 2027 if players aren’t playing right. However, if you’re the New York Yankees who basically print money and doesn’t and you’re going to make money, they’re gonna make Yankees will make money next year whether they play baseball in two years. Whether they play baseball or not, the Yankees are going to make money just at the Dodgers, just at the Red Sox, just at the Mets, just like the Cubs. I think those teams have a significant advantage this offseason because you could say to these players, “Hey, we’re gonna pay you a little less because the impending lockout, but come over to us because we’ll make sure that you get you get paid. Your family is going to bring in an income whether we play or not.” So, the collective bargment isn’t as big of a deal to you because you’re still going to be under contract getting your money. Whereas, the Marlins, the Pirates, the White Socks, they’re not going to give you your guarant they’re going to offer you a one-year deal. And you’re seeing this already with a cheap owner like Mar like like Arty Marino with the Angels who doesn’t want to pay pay his guys doesn’t want to even pay the manager. He doesn’t want to fix the air conditioning in the wait room. True. So you’re seeing this with with teams right now. And I think that’s going to create the richer teams to have a very significant advantage this offseason that that are like we could have a lockout, not have a lockout. We don’t really care. We’ll pay you anyway because we don’t care. We’re printing money regardless. I think it helps those teams out a lot this offseason. That’s interesting. Yeah, I don’t even think about that because again I really No, I your perspective, but I mean there’s a really high possibility we’re not going to play baseball in 2027. Well, I know I’m not playing baseball in 2027 or 2026. Yeah, neither am I. Probably not 2028 either. Um, but there there’s a significant which by the way just just for our sake, it’s going to be a tough content year in 2027. I went through I went through it during COVID. I went through it during the uh there was a lockout, wasn’t there, in 2021. There was a time where they weren’t doing anything and we had to wait for them to start doing stuff before the season started like things to do fan mail Friday, mailbag Monday. Oh yeah, way back Wednesday, Throwback Thursday. I did a whole bunch of I did a whole show on the 1990 Yankees. I talked about the whole saga of just how horrible that year was because I wrote a piece about it. So I basically riff off the piece that I wrote. We rehashed it last year when the documentary came out on Peacock. I remember that. Um, but yeah, that’s going to be that’s not something I’m looking forward to as a content creator. It’s going to be a rough one. Yeah. Yeah. I’ve already been through it. It’s uh it’s rough. And that was when I was hosting by myself, too. So, it was Yeah. They gave us they gave us ideas, though. And it actually worked out, especially during the COVID year because at least for the Yankees, I could do 1990, I could do 2000. you know, there were like different teams that I could talk about and then going back in the fives talking about a favorite game from 2005 or talking about the 95 playoffs and stuff like that. So 2027s aren’t good. 1977 was good, but there are not to worry though with all this. Aaron Boon is under contract with all this. Yeah. Yeah. Yaggy fans, you don’t have to worry about your manager because he’ll be there. He’ll get paid and he will get paid. I hope they don't trade Jazz. He brings energy to the team.
She called him "Chaz Jism." Guess it was bound to happen at some point. LOL
Absolutely trade him. For all the talent he has his ego has him misuse it. He also has the baseball IQ of Torres without his batting average.
If there is a way. Again. I’m repeating if there is a way to trade jazz and get a serious, very low strikeout player who plays fundamentally on the defensive/offensive end than pull the trade.
We need to get back to the days when we got serious players that want to win and more than anything are fundamentally sound.
When Roberto Kelly was trade for Paul O’Neil I was devastated at the time. Kelly was younger and was a hitman. But that became one of the best lopsided trades of all time in my opinion. Because you for a guy in Paulie who just wanted to win and did anything he could to help the team. No clowning around just straight to business.
Jazz is a 4 – 5 WAR player and his replacement would be Oswaldo Cabrera or Jorbit Vivas. That represents a shift in attitude and policy in the Yankees as serious WS contenders. No Jazz, Bellinger or Kyle Tucker means the Yankees probably miss the playoffs. It's also a waste of what's left of prime Judge, they might as well just trade him to the Giants so he can hit next to Devers and try to win a ring out there. And maybe worst of all, it means Juan Soto was right.
Trade for what?? Yankees are win now team… You only trade big names for prospects. You think someone's gonna give you a better player for someone that's on an expiring contract? Why do you need salary relief? There's no cap and half your team is on Arb or FA
We need a 2nd baseman that can hit and work with volpe horrible defense. We can not afford to get someone who is a zero at the plate. We have enough of that right now. I say keep Jazz.
I wish Jazz could be what we need. But he's just another occasional power hitter that strikes out to much, doesn't walk, can't hit at the top of the order, doesn't get on base enough to take advantage of his best attribute. Jazz cares about Jazz, first, last, and always. Trade him.
Package him in a trade for Skenes
And I will be rooting for L.A. because the Blue Jays were too disrespectful for my liking!!
Jazz Chisolm Jr., Luis Gil and TJ Rumsfield to the St. Louis Cardinals for Brendan Donovan.
Jazz just had a 30-30 season, even after missing a month. Why would they trade him?
Let's be honest, the Yankees are not going to do any of the sort. They're going to run with the same, lame team and expect a better a result. Ostrich Hal hasn't even uttered a word. Both the Red Sox and Jays have improved obviously and we have an owner who's MIA and we're hoping that arrogant sob name Brian Thrashman could actually change the course of something he's been overseeing for nearly 30 years now 😅😅😅
In 2023 the Yankees brought in $679 million but only spent $316 million on payroll. That's 46.5% and it ranks just 18th in the league. That means the Yankees rank 3rd in payroll but just 18th in revenue spending. The Dodgers ranked 1st in payroll and 5th in revenue spending at 60%. The Dodgers have made the World Series in 5 of the last 9 seasons. Money does in fact buy championships. It's the single most significant indicator of post season success. The Yankees could spend another $100 million per season and still be the most profitable team in the league. If Hal wants to win he's going to need to spend more. With 1 championship in the last quarter century Cashman has proven he's not good enough at his job to do this without a significant advantage in payroll spending. BTW if the lockout results in a salary cap we are winning about 70 games a year. Cashman can't do this in an even playing field. This may be our last chance to advantage of a capless league. Yankees need to spend big this off season.
The top 5 teams in revenue spending:
#1 Mets 87%
#2 Blue Jays 75%
#3 Diamondbacks 71%
#4 Padres 61%
#5 Dodgers 60%

I would ‘t give up Jazz though. He is a key player to the Yankees and a special player to this team.
It would be addition by subtraction. Dude strikes out way too much, doesn't move runners over, doesn't play solid D, frequently spaces out while on the base paths and is more worried about bling bling than winning. Yanks would improve by his absence even if they literally got nothing back for him in return.
Trading him is smarter than just for salary relief. He is a "K" king. A distraction, focused one day and not the next. His defensive game is erratic, and basically he is not "all there" as a team mate. A selfish player for his stats and his stats only. Also an "in game big spot" failure way to much. But…he does have trade value and will give a team a surprise home run when he feels like it. He also gives your team some unwanted media exposure when they make fun of him.
Nice take on Jazz. I have a Love/Hate thing for him. He’s reckless sometimes. Especially on turning double plays. Sometimes you just shouldn’t try to make the throw. Instead of throwing the ball away. I agree that he sometimes plays for himself. That being said he is an exciting player to watch. Maybe they could get a shortstop and move Volpe to 2nd base.
THAT WONT BE.GOOD AT ALL MR JAZZ LOVES BEING IN N Y AND BLEEDS IT LOVES BEING A YANKEES WHOS SMOKING WEED AT THAT FRONT OFFICE
I really don't know how or why I spoonerized Jazz's name. I do know how to say it. I swear. 😂
I'm trading Jazz for a couple reasons. First I'm moving Volpe to Second where he may be a good defender again. Still questions if he last in the majors but he certainly is not a SS. Second, Jazz is proving himself that he lacks concentration while in the field, on the bases and while at bat. Third, he will bring back a good return.
4 things.. 1. Jazz plays the game just fine lol 30/30 guy after missing a month (whether you like the guy or not he can play) 2. We aren’t getting remotely close to signing Kyle Tucker. We’re a win now team. Belli will be back. 3. Trade Will Warren, Spencer Jones, and 50/80 prospect and get Skubal. 4. Volpe can’t field his way out a paper bag. Stick him at 3rd.
You traded Caleb Durbin, and now you need that type of player. I find that crazy.
You trade jazz because he is a selfish hot dog player who is much more concerned with clicks than wins. Not to mention his lack of clutch play. Not to mention that he doesn't stay focused on the game. Trade him please….
This makes my head hurt. The fact you guys even entertaining this is just sickening
Yes trade him he keeps jinxing this team with his predictions
I'd trade Jazz 20 hrs for 40 points on his batting average. If he won't do that, then I'd trade Jazz
US national sports media almost never get it right unless it’s obvious to everyone, almost never when it’s US v world. Warriors v Raptors 2019, Braves v Blue Jays 1992, Phillies v Blue Jays 1993, USA v Europe 2025 Ryder Cup. Will they finally be right Dodgers v Blue Jays. Blue Jays are 2-0 in the fall classic.
Salary relief? geeze what a joke
