So for all you high horse fans saying Skaggs was a drug addict that chose pills, plenty of the players on the team are just as guilty.

I want Arte to sell the team and I also want him to pay up and be held accountable.

It’s not shocking news that players party, but it’s a symptom of a terribly run organization when someone like Kay is able to openly deal sketchy pills to more than one player. Everyone knew what was going on, change my mind.

“SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — The ex-wife of a Los Angeles Angels employee at the center of the overdose death of one of its star pitchers testified in a civil trial Monday that she saw players and clubhouse attendants passing pills and alcohol while partying on the team plane.

Camela Kay told jurors in a Southern California courtroom she had traveled on the Angels team plane with her then-husband Eric Kay, who was convicted of providing drugs that led to the 2019 death of Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs, and seen players partying, playing card games, gambling and drinking.”

  1. The most damning part of Eric Kay is that he not only dealt drugs to Angels players but his reputation for dealing was so well known that other teams’ players during road trips to Angel Stadium would seek out and buy drugs from Kay.

This means that the vast majority of other teams obviously didn’t employ a drug addict and dealer like Kay.

  2. I’m mostly just shocked that anyone thinks this isn’t happening on most teams.

  3. This sort of isn’t surprising. Even before all of this the Angels partied a fair amount and most of this took place in he best stretch in franchise history 02-09.

  4. **But the real question is….** During the drinking, drugs, and gambling on the team plane: *Was Ippei there?*

  5. Probably 98% of professional sports franchises have opiates flowing in the clubhouses. Hard to tell them just take some Advil

  6. Drugs, rotten company culture, lack of self awareness. Feels like it’s run by some nepo Newport Beach bro.
