How the 2017 NHL Draft Changed the Dallas Stars Forever

The 2017 NHL draft changed the Dallas Stars forever. Let me explain. Back in 2013, the Dallas Stars would hire Jim Nil as their new general manager. After years of mediocrity came from Detroit’s dynasty, knowing exactly how to build a winner. Then in the 2017 NHL draft, the Stars hit the jackpot. They selected Miro Hastkinan with the third overall pick, Jakeer with the 26th pick, Jason Robertson with the 39th pick. Since then, Miro Hastinan became a number one defenseman, Jay Gottinger, one of the best goalies in the NHL, and Jason Robertson, a 40 goal scorer. The stars also have guys like Wyatt Johnston, Roe Hints, and Thomas Harley. They’ve made it to the conference finals three years in a row. And while they haven’t lifted the cup yet, the Stars have one of the brightest futures in the NHL.
