WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO THE GIANTS?!

Why does this keep on happening to the New York Giants? It seems like every star they have on the offensive side of the ball. They sustain a careerchanging and season ending injury. We’re going to break it down. We’ll talk about Scataboo, what the Giants are going to do, and we’ll take a trip down memory lane as well. But first, show some love to Cam Scataboo. I was heartbroken over the injury yesterday. I really didn’t feel like myself doing the watch party and I hurt for Scataboo, his family, the Giants, and the rest of this season. Show them some love. Type those 44s. This is New York Giants Now by Chat Sports. I am your host, Marshall Green. Not another victory Monday. I sure do miss that feeling. I’m also going to miss watching Cam Scataboo play football for the Giants this season. I know in the moment like you think about, oh this this is tough. We’re we’re without Cam. No, you are without Cam Scaboo the rest of the season. And I believe he’s going to come back and be the same player he is, but there is no guarantee that this injury he’s going to be able to bounce back 100%. I believe he can. I believe he will, but it’s not guaranteed. This guy was having a rookie of the year type of season. I know that award always goes to quarterbacks, but he was on pace to have over 1,000 yards allpurpose. Just in five games started, he had 100 carries for 410 yards, 298 of those 400 plus yards. Came after contact, forcing tacklers to miss 21 times, and he had five rushing touchdowns. He also had two receiving touchdowns. So, seven total touchdowns for Cam Scataboo in eight games. It was an unreal season that he was putting together. He was a weapon out of the back field in the running game, in the receiving game. And I I could talk about how good of a football player he’s going to be and how good of a football player he was in the hole he’s going to leave at the running back position and I think the Giants are going to miss that a lot. You don’t replace the value that he has on the field. You also don’t replace the things that he brings to the locker room. There’s no denying that he brought a spark to this football team, that he brought belief. I I said in the video yesterday at the postgame show, he brought life. He brought energy. He brought juice. Someone said, “No, he did, Marshall. He brought balls to this football team.” And he did. He brought a relentless mindset of, “I’m going to do whatever it takes to win the football game.” the type of attitude and just the absolute lay it out on the table and go win the game. Even after he was hurt on this cart, he is yelling at the New York Giants. Tyrone Tracy told the media after he got hurt, he’s the one actually yelling from the cart, “Let’s effing go. Let’s do this. Let’s do it.” It’s just the type of guy that he is. We all saw how devastated the entire team, the New York for the New York Giants was when he got hurt. Every single player went onto the football field surrounding the cart. You get one more headbutt between Jackson Dart and Cam Scaboo. Dart is seen on camera dropping the F-word. He’s pissed off about it. He’s upset about it. His heart is broken for his brother and his teammate, as we all are. And it sucks we don’t get to watch him play football anymore. It sucks he has to deal with that. It sucks he had to spend the night in a Philly hospital last night and get surgery while we were all at home pouting about the New York Giants. I’m heartbroken for Cam Scataboo. I am. This is a guy that became a fan favorite the moment he had his first touch with this football team. And the injury gods, they decided to rob him and us of the ability to watch him play football. It’s the way the NFL goes. It’s the worst part about this sport, injuries. But it’s next man up. And I hate that word because all respect to Tyrone Tracy and the rest of the backs the Giants have. You’re not replacing what Scataboo did for this team on the field as well as what he did for this team in the locker room. Tracy is going to be the guy that is the running back. It’s going to get the bulk of the carries. You’ll probably see some more Devin Singleary as well. Tracy had a really good rookie year. um kind of became an afterthought to for a lot of people because of the emergence of Scataboo. He’s going to have an opportunity to show that he still deserves to get a lot of carries and maybe it could be a 1A1B backfield next season. Could we see Dante Miller be elevated from the practice squad for the New York Giants? Uh I think they probably are going to do it. I don’t know if you could just roll with Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singleary as the two backs. Giants have run with two backs before this year when Tracy was hurt, which is Scataboo and um Motor, but also Tyrone was hurt and he wasn’t on IR. So, the roster spot is now up as Scatteraboo is going to go to IR. So, potentially Dante Miller could be that guy. If we get any more news information, we’re going to get you guys a video as soon as possible. So, make sure you are subscribed and join the team that is 95,000 plus strong. We crossed over 95,000 on the watch party yesterday. Want to say thank you. I appreciate you guys. Incredible. On the way to 100K, less than 5,000 subs away. Yeah, I’m feeling sorry for myself. Yeah, I’m upset. But man, it seems like this happens to every team. I get it. But if you were to stack the numbers of Giants offensive stars getting hurt versus other teams offensive stars getting hurt, without doing the research, I would bet you the New York Giants are in the top two of top players that are hurt on offense. And uh they’re probably not number two. Let’s just go back to 2007. What about Jeremy Shocki breaking his leg, ending his season, wasn’t able to be a part of that Super Bowl run. The Giants did go on to win the Super Bowl. Uh, and Shocki, his Giant career ended after that shortly, but that was just the start of it. Fast forward a year later, didn’t even happen on the football field. Plax Burrus ends up shooting himself in the leg, goes to jail. Season is over. And I would have bet the New York Giants in 2008 would have won the Super Bowl and been backtoback Super Bowl champs. They were a better team in 2008 than they were in 2007, and they were running through the National Football League. Eli Manning was having a hell of a season, but when your top wide receiver shoots himself in a nightclub, um, it’s tough to overcome. Fast forward a couple of years, David Wilson set Giants land on fire. He set the NFL world on fire. It was backflip after backflip after backflip. And then it was a neck injury. After two years in the National Football League, the running back, who was the first round pick, had to retire. So, there’s that. Then you fast forward just one year, Victor Cruz tore his patella tendon at the Eagles Lincoln Financial Stadium. Unbelievable. And then they really start to stack up. Odell Beckham Jr. had the best start to his NFL career. Had the best start of any wide receiver in his NFL career the first three years. Then he breaks his ankle and then it’s injury after injury after injury after that. They trade him. Yes, they get back Dexter Lawrence, but he and the Giants offense has really never recovered since then. Then in 2020, Saquon Barkley tears his ACL and I believe in week two against the Chicago Bears, marking the end really of Saquon Barkley’s prime with the New York Giants. know he was really good in 2022, but this guy preacl injury never really appeared again for the Giants, but he did appear for the Philadelphia Eagles. And then this year, Malik Neighbors torn ACL on a deep ball from Jackson Dart, non-cont injury, goes down, and now Cam Scataboo goes down with a dislocated ankle and potentially other injuries that make it worse. He had to have uh emergency surgery last night. Some Twitter doctors were speculating what that could mean. Maybe the bone pierced the skin. Maybe he broke his leg as well. Maybe there’s going to be an infection. Uh it it it is a nasty injury and the Giants have not been able to escape injury hell from the injury gods out there. Like woe is me. I get it. But being a Giants fan the last 10 plus years has been extremely hard. Not only do you have the worst record or right around the worst record with the New York Jets in the last 10 years, you also have seen star player, your favorite player, offensive young stars get hurt, have their seasons ended and never really been the same. Cruz was never the same. Beckham was never the same. Barkley was never the same. Hopefully neighbors can get back and be better. Hopefully Cam Scataboo can get back and be better. I just wish you could turn injuries off, man. I could. I wish I wish you do. Um, but you can’t and that’s what it is. Bad breaks haunt the Giants

  2. With all the money the Mara/Tisch group has raked in from the Giants fan-base why won't they finally consider installing a turf field? There is no doubt it has been a contributing factor in many of the horrible injuries discussed in this video especially Skattebo's. They could share the cost with the Jets.

  3. Ankle dislocation is very hard to fully recover from, especially for a running back. RBs need to cut on a dime, produce power and hammer tacklers.

Hopefully Cam fully recovers, but it’s a bad injury and history proves it in football 🏈

  4. I would like to point something to all-I have been at Giant games with my dad going back to the 1960 and the great teams with Taylor, Banks etc-the giants hade a great doctor and condition geru that stressed strength and fixability between games/training etc-we rarely had major injuries in part due to this regime. You don't see that anymore across most of the NFL-men are bigger, stronger, faster so injuries are going to happen despite new equipment unless you make the body itself stronger/able to bend etc. I do hope the league fines the officials for their miscalls and that fumble play. great stream as always
