Stephen A. calls out to Jerry Jones 🗣️ ‘I’m INVADING Dallas’ 🤣 | First Take

Wait until the next topic because the Broncos bucked the Cowboys in dominant fashion on Sunday. Bo Nicks threw for four touchdowns and rookie running back R.J. Harvey ran for two more while Dak Prescott had his worst performance of the season and Denver won 44-24. Here’s Sean Payeyton and Jerry. I love the fact that we took one of the top defenses in football against one of the best offenses and we won. All right, on that side of it. Then the other side of it, um, it wasn’t close. The loss is discouraging, but as far as my temperament, if I saw a proposition for us to help this team, uh, of no matter what this score was today, uh, then I would look at it on the merits of helping this team. And if you’re talking about trading for a player or trading a player, I’d completely look at it on the merits of the team, uh, both for next week or the weeks after or for the longer term. So, I’d have to answer your question. No, today would not affect a decision on trading for a player. Okay. Very open to a proposition as Jerry Jones said there. So, do they need to make a move right now, Stephen A? Hell yes. And and and and Jerry’s watching. Jerry’s watching right now, my Libra buddy. Um so it’s important to him that I say this, you know, even though I have no desire to see a Cowboy fan happy because nothing pleases me more than knowing a Cowboy fan is miserable during the holiday season. I mean, and not necessarily Thanksgiving, but certainly right around the time of Christmas going into the new year, when I see Cowboy fans miserable, it it touches my heart. It’s a beautiful beautiful thing to see. It really really is. You understand? So, I’m not I’m not I’m not trying to help always, but in this particular instance, I’m going to tell you that my love for Jerry Jones is going to usurp my desire to troll Cowboy fans by telling them, “My brother, you just turned 83, my man. Your better days are behind you, not in front of you. You know that. You understand? You talked about your own mortality. All right? You don’t know how much longer you have. You have to value every day. Jerry Jones, you got the money. You’re worth 16 billion. Your franchise is worth 13 billion. Okay, you’re number one in Forbes and all of this other stuff and you got an offense even though they didn’t play last well yesterday because obviously Dak Prescott was going up against a defense. I’m so surprised. I’m so surprised. The point is what really really happened is that you had a defense that yet again gave up 40 plus that yet again for the fourth time at least this year they’ve given up over 400 yards of offense. This is who you are if you’re the Dallas Cowboys defensively right now. You’re fifth worst in red zone defense. You’re second worst in total defense, scoring defense, and pass defense. And you’re third and you’re dead last rather in third down defense. Your defense is awful. We just finished talking about the Steelers. I mean, we that’s only because we didn’t get to you. We We know the Cowboys are worse. Believe it or not, they are worse than the Steelers. Okay? And so, when you look at it from that standpoint, defensively, you have to make a move when you have an offense this prolific. You just messed up negotiations with Michael Parsons. We don’t know if you’re not gonna mess up negotiations with George Pickkins who’s represented by the same dude that Michael Parsons is represented by David Mooligetta who you refuse to talk to. You don’t know if you going to have this potency of you don’t know if Javvante Williams going to run the football as effectively as he is now next year. You don’t know if George Pickers is going to be there next year or not. You got the the the question marks that exist. It’s incumbent upon Jerry Jones to go out there and a buff up his defense. You got two first round picks. You got 31 and a half million dollars in cap space, which is second most in the league behind the New England Patriots. Okay? You have an opportunity to go out there and get it. Now, you can’t get a guy like Miles Garrett is going to be about a hundred hundred million dollars, you know, uh a damn cap hit or something. You can’t have that. But a Max Crosby or somebody else, you could go out, you could see if you could what you could do about going out and doing something like that. You’ve got to do something. You cannot stand Pat if you’re Jerry Jones and miss out on an opportunity for this offense to be in the postseason. Offense one and done. As prolific as they are, you have to maximize this potential for Dak Prescott, CD Lamb, and this Cowboys offense. You got to go do something defensively. Yeah. When you when you think about what’s happening in Dallas, there’s an obvious elephant in the room and it’s the Dallas Cowboys defense. Now, playing versus a quality of defense that Denver had presented, we saw a different version of Dak Prescott. He forced balls that he he didn’t necessarily need to force, but when you’re playing how you’re playing and you need points how you need points, it puts the pressure on you to make plays. Okay. Second, now we understand that uh your Libra friend and Jerry Jacobe Jones or Jerry Jones as we we know him to be is worth $16 billion. Stephen, your words, not mine. And the salary cap is $31 million. But my dream scenario for the Dallas Cowboys would look a little like this. Hey, we need to acquire a guy by the name of Miles Garrett. It will it hit the cap space? Absolutely. Or a guy like Max Crosby as you just mentioned. I also would add a veteran secondary player, somebody like a Minka Fitzpatrick. All right. Somebody because when you’re looking at, are they getting pressure? No, they’re not. Are they having blunders in the back end? Yes, they are still. So now the Dallas Cowboys don’t do not just need one addition. They’re missing really two. One in the secondary, obviously, one to provide any type of pressure on the on the quarterback while they’re in these type of games. and understanding this, the time is ticking. It’s abundantly clear. And what would be said if you have access to this explosive of an offense and you have this to be your issue? We just can’t stop nobody. And you start looking at them in in quarters. Okay, the first quarter is already done. All right, we’re in the second quarter going into the third quarter of the season. And now you know exactly who you are or who you want to be as a team. As you’re becoming that things are still being highlighted for what you are not, it’s time now that we make a move and not to get a pos a proposition as he said, not offered to you. We need you to start to be the aggressor, Mr. Jerry, and say, “Hey, man, listen. I need help. Somebody help me.” And that’s what needs to happen in order for the Dallas Cowboys to have a chance. Go ahead, Woody. I got something to say. You You know what? I’ve been sitting over here just itching. I can’t believe either one of you guys. Even Jerry, your buddy Jerry said it himself. There’s not a trade out there that’s going to help the Dallas Cowboys defense. Did y’all watch that game against the Denver Broncos? The Denver Broncos ran over, around, and through the Dallas Cowboys. Not just the Denver Yo, hold on. This is the same Hold on. Let me say this. This is the same Denver Broncos defense that struggled mightily, mightily against the New York Jets defense. They couldn’t do they couldn’t move the ball an inch, but they go against the Dallas Cowboys and they look like the greatest show on turf yesterday. And y’all think that a trade is going to somehow flip the script for the Dallas Cowboys defense? This is the This is Listen, this is the same Jerry Jones. This is the same Jerry Jones that tra that that traded away Michael Parsons, but now y’all want to sit here and go make these trades for Miles Garrett a and Max Crosby like they’re going to have any type of profound effect on the Dallas Cowboys defense. The Dallas Cowboys are a lost cause. They have a championship offense, but that defense, my lord, they’re not going anywhere playing that type of defense. I just can’t take it. I just can’t take it. I can’t take it. I can’t take it. You know what? I think Stephen Henry set us up. I think Stephen H. No, no, no, no, no, no. Hold on. Hold on. You shouldn’t be allowed to talk about a defense for the rest of the show. Not after the pass you gave Pittsburgh. I mean to sit up there and go from Pittsburgh to transition to Dallas. You You’re unbelievable. You’re absolutely unbelievable. The hypocrisy. The hypocrisy that just came out of your mouth. You got to be kidding me. That’s number one. Number two, there’s a couple of things. Last time I checked because as I Cam, I’ve told you this before. You’re learning this. Woody’s been working with me for years. That’s my brother. You know that. I’m MJ. I am a brilliant man because I know I’m not. I listen to those who are and I absorb knowledge from those who do. I ain’t never been on a football field. Ain’t never want to be on a football field. Damn it. I never played pop water. I’ve never been interested in playing football. Hell to the no. I defer to these brothers who have taught me the game. And I’ve never seen nearly one of them, not one of them, MJ, that didn’t bring up the importance of a pass rusher in football. They talk about the quarterback. They talk about a a pass rusher. So, what do we have here? We bring up Miles Garrett. Can’t get him. Crosby’s doable. It’s possible. Pro four straight pro bowls. Okay. You lost Micah Parsons. Oh, by the way, I said you got 31 a.5 million in cat room. All right, with the two first round is giving you trade leverage. He only got a three-year 106 million deal. Whereas Miles J Garrett had 122 million guaranteed, he only has 62 million guaranteed. So, it’s doable. How about Jeffrey Simmons, defensive tackle out of the Titans? Okay, you got a four-year 49 $94 million extension. Okay, even though those odds are very low, all right, and is but so much he could do, you’re still looking at the How about Trey Hendrickson for Cincinnati? They probably ain’t going no damn places. Zack Taylor still hasn’t learned how to protect the damn quarterback. Their defense is definitely trash. We all know that. Look what they let the Jets do to them last yesterday. Okay, you got Trey Anderson on a one-year $29 million deal. What if you went and got him? What if you went out and got him for uh for for those first round those late first round picks, which are really second round picks. What if you got that brother in your stable? What could that do for you? You telling me nothing with Overshan coming back with the piece with some of the other casts that you’ve got in place? I mean, Deon Bland and those brothers, you trying to tell me he can’t do anything? You’ve got to try something where you have an offense this prolific. You don’t need a prolific defense. You need a decent defense. A decent defense, literally a middleof the road defense could propel the Dallas Cowboys to their first NFC Championship game in 30 years. That could happen. Okay. So, the point that I’m making is knowing that as a reality, why do you not take that chance if you’re 83y old Jerry Jones? Jerry Jones, I’ll be there a week from the day, baby. I’ll be there. I don’t know if everybody know that. First Take will be in the house next Monday. You understand? First Take’s going to be in the house. The Stephen A. Smith Show on SiriusXM is going to be in the house. I’m going to be on Monday Night Football. I’m invading Dallas next week, a week from today. What’s up, Jerry? You don’t say you need me to come there Monday or Sunday night talk to you. You got to make a move, baby. You got to do something. You can’t leave Dak Prescott and the crew standing pat. Hold on to this nugget. Dallas, I don’t I’m not inclined to help y’all. You’re sorry, niated, disgusting fan base that you are. Don’t live in reality. No, we’re going to Super Bowl next year, right? No, we go Super Bowl. Yeah, I’m trying to help you. Okay, this is one time I want you to hold on to this moment and understand I am trying to help. You got to do something. I ain’t gonna do this again. I ain’t trying to do y’all no favors, but I’mma do it today. Go out there and get somebody. Go out there and get somebody. I’m so happy I’m going to be at that game. This is going to be a Wait a minute. So, wait a minute. Is that This might hold MJ. This must be a first. Did Stephen A mention the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Championship game? Like this. This the first time I heard you say this. Yes. Yes. Okay. with that offense. If they can get a decent defense, Cam, a defense, a decent, not an elite, just a decent middle of the road defense, they got a chance. Now, Michael Irvin dropped the ball with Michael Parsons. He didn’t handle his business correctly. That’s Michael Michael Irvin’s fault. He didn’t talk to Jerry. He didn’t get in his ear. He didn’t prevent it from happening. He came right here on first take and acknowledge he dropped the ball. I’m not going to let him drop the ball this time around. We gonna get in Jerry’s face and we gonna say, “Yo, Jerry, for once I’m gonna try to do you a favor because my love for Jerry, you searched my disgust for the Cowboy fist. I’m trying to help my man be be relevant again.” Okay, Jerry, don’t do this. Don’t stand pat. You got to go out there and do something. Okay, get Trey Hendrickson, somebody. Max Crosby, somebody. You got to get somebody that can get to the quarterback to help buffer your defense and help give that offense a chance.

  1. Dak had his first bad game of the SEASON every QB had had atleast one or two or three bad games this season literally every qb, dak has had the least amount of bad performances

  2. Stephen A should be banned from talking football.t
Let him talk about pro and college basketball and the wnba. Maybe a little baseball, and if he's feeling spicy then let him speak on the WWE. When it comes to football SAS is still along ways away from having any expert opinion in regards to Pro football. Example 1- Myles Garret had 5 sacks against my Patriots, playing on a way better Defensive Line and the Browns were beat up in the second half of the game. Example 2-the Browns have a better secondary and linebacker unit than the cowboys do, and how did it make a difference with Garrett and his 5 sacks. Which leads me to basically my 3 r d example. The cowboys trade their best defensive player(Micah) who couldn't improve the cowboys defense, and he(Micah) was used in a similar fashion. Where the Cowboys lined Micah up all over, and it didn't help. SAS gets to caught up agreeing with someone else vs formulating his own informed opinion. Woody is actually right. Adding one player ro this defense will not help. Especially when you are talking about making a trade. The cowboys would have to give up several of their top draft picks to get one player, so how does that help. The cowboys need to focus on resigning Pickens and anyone else on that offense and then go after the top available defensive free agents next season and then spend your first 4 of 5 draft picks to fill in spots where they couldn't address through free agency. Then they should add depth to the OLine, wrs, his, and for certain a true backup at Qb. That's the smart way to build a team to compete. But hey if the cowboys want to keep losing then listen to Cam and SAS and sacrifice your future foe one player just like the vikings did when they traded all their picks to the cowboys for Hershel Walker, or the Saints did for Ricky Williams, because those trades worked out amazingly for the Vikings, and the Saints.

  3. Take all that MVP talk and flush it down the toilet Dak lol 😂

How is that Micah Parson’s trade looking now Jerry? 😂 🎉
