Not gonna hate on Sergi but I do absolutely love Moser. I think a lot of our rough start began with his two game suspension
Love to see it.
Moser is arguably our mvp considering what is expected from him and what he delivers
Where he stands out for me is how he handles and clears puck when he is under immense pressure
Plus he is aggressive and productive in offense
All in all, big fan
How does moser rate better than Serge in points?
Sergy is awesome and I miss him. If there were any feasible way to add him to our lineup I think the overall quality of this team would go up substantially.
But Moser is great. He’s just a very responsible defenseman who seems to have a great sense of where he needs to be at any given moment. He’s not afraid to shoot the puck either, but what’s great is that he picks his chances well and doesn’t risk dangerous turnovers for low-chance shots.
anyone have a moser jersey yet?
I will forever appreciate what Sergachev did here, and when his contract expires in 2032, I would love for him to come in for a year with our future young core, hopefully at that point as a veteran presence for a final swan song.
But that trade was 100% the right decision.
I love our Swiss prince
You guys gotta stop cherry picking stats against Sergachev. They’re different players. Moser is more defensively focused, and Sergachev more offensively focused. That completely changes their stats for the same reason Hedman and Kuch are always at the top of our giveaway numbers.
This offensive table is also ignoring his PP impact, where he’s currently tied for first in the league in power play points among defensemen right now. Utah is also crushing it right now with Sergachev playing almost 25 minutes a night, while we are just now digging ourselves out of the bottom.
They’re both great players. Let’s just appreciate Moser without trying to bring down our former players in the process.
As someone who watched Moser play the first few years of his career I’m glad he is doing well. However, these stats are a joke and I can’t believe this guy is trying to sell them for $50 a year on his website.
Why is Sergi listed as a 2nd pairing defensemen? He logs more minutes than any other player on TB including Hedman. He is getting the toughest matchups every night for Utah now and has looked good doing it. Him stepping into the 1D role is one of the main reasons the Utah has shown so much improvement the last two seasons.
Maybe if the “role difficulty” stat actually worked it would reflect that, but these numbers just look like the result of a kid making up nonsense formulas to generate fancy graphs in an attempting to sell them online.
Hot take but Moser is overall the best defenseman on the team rn
I’ve seen enough after last season and the beginning of this season. Extend Moser already!!
Moser just seems to always keep his feet moving. Reminds me of a younger McDonagh the way he’ll have that extra gear to stay engaged even if the play starts to transition away, just less size but with more athleticism.
