Hey, hey, hey. do it. Do it. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. Do you feel hey? is, you know, not uh unhappy with the performance, disappointed with the result because it looked like you did a lot of good things out there. For sure. I thought we responded at second period. We got a little um you know, discombobulated uh not on the same page a lot of times. Um you know, great push in the third. You know, um tip your cat sometimes to the other team and the way they play D and their goalie and um yeah, not for a lack of chances. Um, you know, obviously we pushing like that and controlling a lot of the zone time like that. Uh, we’re going to score more times than that. So hopefully we can u, you know, be a mature group here and take what we can from that game and um, you know, not get too down ourselves for not getting one there. And winning 10 of the previous fall against Seattle, you’ve always found a way to break them uh, and get that big goal. I remember Dylan scoring the the big goal last year in the win. What was it they did differently tonight maybe to be able to circle the wagons and prevent you from from getting in in tight? Yeah. Um thought it was coming. Um you know we had we were pressing hard. Um they just um you know they keep their D’s really close to the net there and um you know a lot of times I think in the second we um tried to do too many cross ice seams and they just knock it down and we were a lot more direct and played a lot faster in the third and you know at times in the first two we just got away from it a little bit. Um and uh yeah, they cover the ice um really well and kind of patient game and they got a pretty good goalender. What are you seeing from uh Alex Aalo, especially in his ability to chase pucks on the power play there? Yeah, he’s been great for us. Um you know, he can uh do pretty much everything, you know, ask him to. He’s asked to kill penalties. He’s asked to be in that power play spot. Um you know, he’s a great defensive forward. He gets in, you know, those shot lanes a lot. Blocks blocks them. And um just on the for check, uh he’s uh he reads the play really well. Um, obviously he’s he’s physical, can um, you know, separate the man from the puck and but also just the anticipation, kind of knowing where it’s going. I think he uh, reads the play really well. Talked about needing to be a mature group, taking it forward. What is the lesson to take forward heading into tomorrow? Yeah, I think just um, you know, play quick. I think that was the biggest thing that we talked about um that we got back to is, you know, not setting up behind the nets, not uh, you know, slow, you know, getting three forwards trapped standing still in the neutral zone. come back, support, get speed, come together. Um, you know, you just play a lot quicker like that. You know, once one guy starts skating, um, it kind of gets everybody moving. So, um, you know, moving our feet more, you know, you beat a guy, usually it’s a lot a lot of one-on-one battles across the whole way. So, you get your feet moving, you beat a guy, draw somebody to you, it kind of breaks down their coverage and, you know, gets everybody else moving and, um, you know, in the offensive zone, just just being direct, putting pucks there. And, um, I thought we did a better job of that in the third. involved offensively in this game. Uh uh what was it Seattle did differently uh that they were not doing in in previous occasions when you were able to make them blink and you know come away with a win? I think they limited second chances. We had a lot of first opportunities and um you know the rebounds uh just weren’t there tonight. We didn’t get a few bounces. So um overall wasn’t a horrible game, but we’ll get back at it tomorrow. Yeah, the the result notwithstanding, I don’t know that you could be too overly disappointed. How big of a lift was it when Pearson and then Logan both had those chances? It really looked like the big push was on after that. Yeah, it put a jolt in us and that’s kind of what we said in between the second and third. Um, keep your heads up and the chance will get us going. So, um, again, we can’t get frustrated and, uh, get back at it tomorrow. When they pack the house like they do and play tight to the net, does that kind of mean that guys like you have a green light to just fire away? Well, it’s kind of the mentality, right? Like it’s you can’t just shoot just to shoot, but it’s the mentality of getting them turned around and trying to create second opportunities. So, they have to turn around and find a rebound and um I thought we did an okay job with that. I think we can be a little better and and uh won’t improve tomorrow. Yeah. What’s the next level to that? Like would it be on the recovery side of things or is it turning that into the next chance after? Yeah, it’s usually simplicity. Uh is usually the answer to that. When when something like this happens, you know, if you go out there and try to make the extra pass or the extra pass, it usually doesn’t work. Um so tomorrow, I’m sure the shot mindset will be there and we’ll be crashing the net. when you guys are at your best, you do a good job of bottling your opposition up in their zone. What did they do tonight that kind of helped them alleviate the pressure? Um, you’re talking in our zone or their zone? In their zone. Um, I thought they kept us the outside pretty good. Um, we didn’t have a ton of great a chance. We had a few. Um, like I said, we didn’t get a lot of bounces. You know, Jamos in the first I thought went in, but um, that’s the way it goes sometimes. They they really did hound the puck though. It seemed like every time uh you turned around there were two and sometimes three of them on you to not really give you a whole lot of room. Eh, yeah, they’re hardworking team. Uh always have been. So, um give a lot of credit to them. They played well and and uh again, we’ll improve on some stuff tomorrow. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. pretty stingy guy. So that more direct approach did allow you like in the third period allowed you a little more uh quality chances. Yeah, you’re not going to tic-tactoe tic-tac-toe your way around a team like that that taken away the middle of the ice and um you know like I said in second period I thought that’s what we were trying to do to cute and then but I liked our first I thought our first we broke out of our zone real well against a good forcheing team. We got out of there. Um, we had zone time. Um, maybe not as much traffic uh as you’d like. In third period, I thought it was better and there’s some real good looks. I mean, there was some chances that thought their puck was going in the net and they found a way to stay out. You’ve talked a little bit about discipline. What did you like in that area tonight? Well, it was a lot better. Obviously, we didn’t put ourselves or shoot ourselves in the foot. We were able to be, you know, rolling our lines playing five, you know, getting fiveman units out there. So, yeah. I mean, it’s if you stay with the box, it certainly helps. Scott, Josh Morsy played over 28 minutes tonight, had four shots on goal. It seemed like he was kind of the catalyst for any kind of push you had in the third. What did you think of his Yeah, no, he was that’s what he does, right? That’s uh he’s a hard guy to defend and when he has those uh when he has when he’s feeling it like that and you know I think he was mad at himself in the first cuz he had a couple looks and he tried to make plays and you know I think in the third he was did a real good job of manufacturing some offense from the top and whether that was getting some shots through or making some plays to the goal line and then but that’s what Josh does. He he helps us certainly helps when he’s out with those forwards there he creates a lot of offense. He had four shots and Neil Pianc had five. Is that kind of a an emphasis when they’re packing that shoot a lot? Yeah, that’s what you’re going to get. You’re not going to get it’s going to come from the top. They’re going to give us a top and and then it’s going to be, you know, us trying to find lanes to get it to that net front. And like I said, you know, maybe a little bit more traffic, but they didn’t they didn’t allow us to get the rebounds. There was a few that were sitting there. They didn’t let us get to them. Either they popped their sticks or they chopped it to the corners. And that’s, you know, that’s you know, that’s how you that’s how you defend in this league. You got to be stingy around your net front. I was going to ask kind of what the next step is. When you have room at the top, you get the shots and sometimes you guys are so good at recovering and recovering and creating chances after. And I think that’s what we saw in the third. We we got the rebounds. We got the some of or not so much the rebounds of the loose pucks that sprayed off to the corners. Got to reset, do it again, hem them in. Um but you’d like to do that in the first and the second and really get them on their heels, tire them out. Um, you know, but at at the end of the day, um, you know, we talk about our eye formation, somebody on top of the goalie, somebody in that high slot, that’s usually a tip opportunity, kind of like a power play look to it. Um, you know, and then D, not being stationary and being mobile, getting, you know, either crossing each other or, you know, one guy diving, the other guy sliding over. We did a lot better job in the third with that. And there was just that, I think it was the first period, it bounced off the crossbar, it was in the crease. Did somebody make a play on Valard’s stick there? Do you know? I don’t I didn’t Okay. I’m not sure. Yeah. Didn’t look at it yet because there did look even in the second period. I think that that back door play looked like it was available and it just missed. What do you also look at it Scott as one of those nights where you know the puck just kind of betrayed you a little bit too? We had a lot of chances to score goals. Yeah. I I’m I know for a fact I’m going to look I know there’s you know there was probably seven or eight quality quality ones where their goalender even made a stop or we just missed and that’s sort of how this league bounces at times and um you know there’s a lot of like a lot more of what I liked uh from our group tonight. I I thought we played faster. I thought we pressured harder, got out of our zone quicker. Um a little bit at in the second period some sloppiness, but at the end of the day I like I liked a lot more of what we did today. Thank you. Thanks. Hey, hey, hey.
