Reminder that the titans have the most cap space next year

  1. I don’t really see any great FAs next year. Maybe the McCreary guy from the rams? Hendrickson is probably gonna get injured immediately if he signs with us.

  2. Outside of the draft itself, this team will get zero advertising returns from me this off-season.

After two off-seasons of unrealized hype, I’m ready to take a break.

  3. I’d still like to see mostly guys on short term deals. There isn’t much out there at WR or Edge outside of Hendrickson.

Free agency is great for finding safeties, IOL, and ILBs, we need to find some quality Ben Jones type vets. Not too many quality players at the high impact spots will be floating out there.

We’ll also have to overpay like crazy considering how bad we are. That’s if we can get good players to agree to come here in the first place.

  4. On top of that, they can clear a TON of cap if they move off of Sneed, Barton, Cushenberry, and Ridley (I’d prefer to keep Ridley/Cush tbh).

I don’t want Borgonzi to throw around bags like Carthon did, but we should really be targeting a lot of the good offensive free agents. Getting a RB like Breece Hall or Kenneth Walker to open up the passing game for Ward would be great.

Again, don’t wanna blow all your money on overpaying guys, but there’s no reason not to be spenders when we literally have nobody to extend.

  5. So what? This team hasn’t signed a decent player in years and has let so much talent leave. Who cares at this point?

  6. Oh boy, I can’t wait to waste it on a bunch of good people who are gonna come to the Titans and then play like booty

  7. With how awful the team is, they’re going to have to overpay for any average player. Imagine having a nice surprise young player on a rookie contract like Brownlee, but the team decides to sign a real team leader like a cody barton or tyler lockett esque player in the offseason 🙄

  8. They’re going to have to overpay for average talent.

It’s good for the players and their contract value though due to Titan’s contribution to free agency inflation.

If you’re going to overpay, then you overpay for an offensive line, some weapons for Cam Ward, and defensive line.

  9. Let’s build a line. Like either of them, but preferably one that will protect our first overall pick.

  10. hard to say who we should go after without knowing the head coach…..but it should be some mid level vets to install some culture…

  11. Despite the draft, Borgonzi and company didn’t exactly have the greatest inaugural FA class. So it doesn’t give me a ton of optimism

  12. Free agents don’t want to come play here. It doesn’t matter the bag. They will phone it in

  13. Besides not having an expensive QB, a big reason for this is we only have 31 players under contract right now for next year. Just filling out the roster with $5M per year guys give or take would eat all of that space.

  14. This sounds good but it really means we haven’t drafted players worthy of re-signing, and instead will have to overpay to convince average free agents to fill out our mess of a roster.

  15. This Free Agency really is going to be about who is our new head coach. I am already ready to be disappointed who he brings in.

  16. It’s hard because you need a culture for FA to come in an actually give a fuck. Once they’re paid and they’re on the titans, it’s time to coast.

Hopefully out next coaching hire is good but I fucking doubt it lol

  17. How hilarious would it be if we moved up almost 2 rounds for a pick swap trade with Roger McCreary, then just signed him as a free agent 9 games later.

  18. The only players I’d want to see us sign:

    Christian Kirk 2 years max
    Wyatt teller 1-2 year
    Mark andrews 1 year
I would say Jalen Thompson or Andre cisco but dunno that we’d sign a safety with winston and hooker
    Kyle pitts
    Epenesa
    Shaheed
    Jennings on a 2 year
Basically any edge that’s underperformed, sign em to a prove it deal

There are a couple other guards/tackles/edges I wouldn’t mind seeing sign here. This group isn’t very inspiring overall though. I think the best chance at getting someone decent is picking up a cap casualty cut.

  19. Whatever. We’ve seen this movie before.

Pay top dollar for mid players. Especially since we have to pay a “we fucking suck” up charge.

Then they come here and vanish completely.

  20. Peep Patriots for how to rebuild a team. Cam has shown flashes and might lure a good HC candidate.

Not sure who the options are this cycle though.
