For some reason I was under the impression the Florida teams had more games than that, with how the NHL has been promoting those teams recently, but it was less than I thought. Also crazy to see how some teams, like Vancouver, only got 1 game while the top teams have 5+, what are your thoughts?

Vegas having more outdoor games than Vancouver is a wild thought, even if it is only one more lol
Vancouver’s 2014 Heritage Classic went so poorly I guess the NHL isn’t interested in coming back here, which I get. But why can’t we play a game against one of the Alberta teams?
Devils/Rangers/Flyers/Islanders should get one outdoor game, every season playing against each other at the Meadowlands. It’s great for the local rivalries even when the teams aren’t great, they show up.
Montreal being tied for 4th on this list and never having hosted one is wild. I know it’s because of the stadium situation in Montreal, and I know the NHL is in it to sell lots of tickets at a higher price, but man, Heritage Classic at Molson Stadium at McGill needs to happen.
IMO it’s the only really interesting/scenic location left on the board that hasn’t yet been done.
I’m pissed Utah hasn’t had one yet!!!! (But honestly it’s sad that Arizona never had one)
Come on get Anaheim another PLEASE 😭🙏
The fact that Montréal, where we actually have outdoors ice rinks in the winter, isn’t even top 3…
🙃
Why is this disparity so wild? The right side of that chart has a bunch of great teams who have been consistently competing for Stanley Cups over the last 10 years. Feels like maybe the original 6 could stand to take a small break
Think we should give one to Chicago. Been a while since they played in one
Dallas has the least outdoor games of all of the OG Expansion teams
I’d love to see one or two permanent outdoor arenas. Football stadiums are just too big for hockey rinks, and I think it could be cool for some division rivals to choose a midway point to have a neutral game at every year. Leafs vs Wings in London or Sens in Kingston, maybe Alberta could do something in Red Deer. Idk, if they build it will they come?
Let’s get a Vancouver vs Seattle outdoor game in Seattle
I want to see Winnipeg vs Minnesota winter classic.
Love the idea, but I find the execution underwhelming. The rink sits in the middle of a large football stadium, 50 m from the nearest stand.
Location sucks (from a logistics standpoint) but a tundra game in Alaska would be awesome. Can split the difference and have Seattle Vancouver
I’m still holding out hope that the Sharks get a game where the Giants play. Hockey on the waterfront in SF ?!?!? HELL FUCKIN YEAH !!!!
After the success of the heritage night last week, my demands for a Canes / Avs outdoor game in Whalers / Nordiques gear have only grown louder and more insistent. Hell, do it in Hartford or Quebec for extra nostalgia!
9 out of top 10 are east, “no such thing as an east coast bias”
You all think it’s a big joke? Blackhawks losing in every winter classic they’ve appeared in. Well let me tell you, I have grown to love the pain. I harness it. I turn on the tv to watch my favorite team play, and I bathe in their suck. It flows through me: Our top line makes the worst play you’ve ever seen, all while broadcast Nationally – my heartbeat quickens, my pupils dilate. Yes Jones, bearer of dreams, turn over the puck for the 10th time this period while getting paid the same amount as Kucherov, Brayden Point, Mark Stone and Vasilevskiy; I’m erect. Another winter classic? Tickets are in the thousands? I go to see it in person, cold, wet, feverish from the chanting Blues fans counting off their sixth goal. My doctors tell me I should stop, maybe find another team that isn’t so heartbreakingly terrible, maybe root for someone safe like The Rangers or Ottawa, real contenders. But I can’t escape it. I grasp my Patrick Kane body pillow, now emblazoned with a Detroit Red Wings jersey – No, I won’t stop the pain, I can’t stop it. I am one with it. I cry into my official dynasty blanket.
Sharks have had 2, Stadium Series and Lake Tahoe.
Boy my memory sucks. How were the Sharks not at Lake Tahoe?
The NHL loves the American Original Six teams and teams from Pennsylvania….lol
we had too many for a little while there. it was like every fucking year
A SLC winter game with the mountains in the background would be awesome
Huge Penguins fan. I don’t need to see them in another outdoor game for at least a decade.
I’m thinking a Bruins Blackhawks home and home. /s 🤷
Looks like Chicago got a half dozen more games than the next team and then closer inspection, it’s only one.
Dallas vs Nashville in the cotton bowl was awesome!
The last Colorado one was a logistical nightmare happening on the air force academy. Sooo many fans got to the game late.
Unless Terry finds a way to fuck this up too, Buffalo should be getting another outdoor game once our new stadium opens
A Seattle Vancouver game would be fun
