Was super stoked the other day when I realized how young Marcus Jones actually was. He’s been so impactful at different times and in so many different facets, he just kind of feels like a McCourty kinda guy…

Doing everything he can to save that ’22 draft class from being the worst of all-time.
Also, this might be an unpopular opinion but I was pretty happy that they stopped thinking of him as a potential gadget player with some offensive plays and just left him be a true CB.

He’s playing at minimum a pro bowl level this year. I would say all pro but it’s a little too early. Pretty mind blowing he got first team all pro his rookie year

If Drake Maye didn’t exist I think he’s easily MVP of the team through mid season. That pick vs the Bills is probably the biggest play of the year.
I put my arms in the air when I heard the news. I was honestly worried he would go somewhere else in the offseason.
Far more important than adding a WR via trade at this moment!
Oh yeah! Great news to hear! Jones has played really well since coming here. Whether it be offense, defense or special teams. Glad to see the team extend a homegrown player well before free agency starts.

I wonder how many teams wanted Marcus Jones on their team? I am very glad they can’t have him. That makes me happy to see efforts on the field are rewarded.
I feel like Jones is one of those guys who spends a good portion of the game getting stuffed in a locker because he’s so small, but then makes a couple of big plays on 3rd down when it really matters.
It’ll be really interesting to see what the numbers are because they’re going to have to pay Gonzalez after this year most likely and Maye after next year.
