Dodgers join Yankees as ONLY team in MLB history with 4 World Series walk-off HRs! (Relive all 8!)
Nukem’s third pitch is a curveball. Henrik slams it for a long drive into the lower right field stands and it’s all over but the shouting. This mighty home run blast in the last half of the ninth makes Tommy Hendrick the hero of the day and gives Yankee hurler Alli Reynolds a one to nothing two hit shut out of the Dodgers as the Yanks take the first game of the series. Here’s Manel. He’s grounded the short. He’s walked. He’s doubled the right. The big Yankee crowd roaring now for some action. There’s a hard drive. That’s a deep ride. And forget about it. It is done. The ball game’s over. Curtis is one for three, but the one was a big one. They got the Yankees back into thinking they could win this game. That’s where we are right now in the bottom of the 10th inning. Ramler deals the 1-1. Swiming a drill deep to left field. That could go. Williams back looking up. See youa. A home run into the Braves bullpen in left center field. And the Yankees win the game 65. And they’re one win away from baseball nirvana. Oh, what a home run for Chad Curtis. He rounds third. He heads home and the entire Yankee team greets him at home plate. What a thrilling come from behind. 65 Yankee win. Oh man, it doesn’t get better than this. Bottom of the 10th inning. Arizona three. The Yankees three. Jeter is 0 for four. 1 for 15 in the World Series. And the 3-2 pitch. Swung on a drill to right field going back. Sanders on the track at the wall. See youa. See youa. See youa. A home run by Derek Jeter. He pumps his fist in the air as he rounded first. He’ll hit on third base. He high-fives Willie Randolph and the entire Yankee team mobs him at home plate as he leaps onto the dish with a 43 Yankee win. Oh. Oh, what a ball game. A gamewinning walk-off home run by Derek Jeter. He is Mr. November. Oh, what a big base hit by the Yankee shortstop. And look who’s coming up. Sachs waiting on deck, but the game right now is at the plate. Highf fly ball into right field. She is gone. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened. It ends up being almost a game three start. Muny flies one in the air to left center back at the wall and is gone. It’s over. Muny a walk-off home run to win game three in the 18th. Night. Knight. The most unlikely story of the Major League Baseball season. Maxy baby let go by the A’s a couple of seasons ago. Went to work with his dad to reconfigure his swing. had a good year in the minor leagues last year with the Dodgers, but they didn’t think enough of his season to activate him for the postseason. So, he watched with everybody else. Started the season in the minor leagues and he just gave the Dodgers the biggest swing of his life. That’s unbelievable. And I said that adrenaline rush was going to be had by somebody. And now the Dodgers not only feel like this game and the patience again, the patience of the Dodgers, you got to think that they feel really, really good about the twist and turn now in the series with all that had to have happen for the Red Sox. What a game on a chilly evening. Cortez delivers. Freeman hits the ball to right field. She is good. on Gibby. Meet Freddy. Game one of the World Series. As it was on an October night 36 years ago, a hobbled game one hero for the Dodgers. Freddy Freeman with a walk-off grand slam to win game one of the World Series 6-3 over the Yankees. Unbelievable. Went up there looking for a pitch. He got it. There’s just no way to describe. I mean, there’s just no way to describe it. Would you say you don’t believe what you just saw? They retire Otani. They walk bats and Freddy Freeman, who hadn’t had an extra base hit in a month before today, legged out a triple in his first at bat. And he ends this game jumping on the first pitch and launching a no doubt grand slam that they’ll talk about for ages. 1150 in Los Angeles. Freeman sends a fly ball to center field. Marshall’s going back before the catchment Freeman has ended it. It’s a repeat hero with the last word of the game three classic. It takes 6 hours and 39 minutes. It takes 18 innings to end the longest game in World Series history. It takes four scoreless innings from Will Klein, one of a number of heroes in this game. But in the end, the ultimate hero is a familiar one.

The Freddie grand slam never gets old!
And half of the Dodger walk-offs have been by one player. Thanks Freddie!
Best HR still has to be Gibson, has to be. Then Freddie’s grand slam..
But the greatest HR I’ve ever seen is C Fisk 1975 game 6. You had to be there 🎉🎉🎉
So much history in baseball. Cool to see the classic footage.
Freeman the most clutch player in MLB history.
Dam Freddie coming in clutch
