Jim Nill on the Stars’ start to the 2025-26 season #nhlshorts #dallasstars

One of the things I’ve been talking with some people about and reading some things about is people will say that October hockey can be strange and not necessarily representative of what the rest of the year will look like. Have you found that to be the case over the years that maybe it takes a little longer in hockey to kind of get a good feel for what your team will be? Yeah. No, it definitely does. we we kind of go from the game 10 to game 20 is when we start to see kind of where we’re at. You know, what type of where your team’s settling in where your weaknesses are. So, we’re still early in that process. You know, we played seven games now and uh you know, it’s funny. You know, we played the first three games, we won all three and I thought we never lose a game and now we played the last three and I don’t think we’re ever going to win another one. So, that’s kind of the sports. It’s kind of the dynamics and a lot of different things go into it. You know, it’s guys just getting up to their speed. Uh, injuries have really come into play for us quite a bit. You know, we really have lost our second line right now with Deshaine and Ben out. Uh, we lost Neils Linquist, one of our top four or five defenseman. So, injuries come into play, but you got to work your way through it, and that’s just kind of what we’re that’s where we’re at right now.
