A lost Cardinals season could result in major trade deadline

I’m not against that. I’d hope they make sure 2 of those names are ok with it tho lol.
Brisset isn’t going anywhere (0 sense to trade your journeyman backup when there’s talk of moving on from your #1 guy). Calais maybe, if there is a contender who wants him and he values getting a ring more than retiring on his original team. And we wouldn’t get rid of both baker and Thompson. One or the other at most
But where does this get us? We‘re too good to draft Top 3 so we pick a like 8-9. You won’t get your QB there so it’s Kyler or other Veteran. And for both you need a Team.
I don’t think we should do something. Maybe if someone offers big time. Budda to the Bills or so
Calais came back to retire a Cardinal I highly doubt he gets moved
Calais definitely because of his age to give him a shot a ring. As for guys like Baker and Thompson and Sweat I’m 50/50, I think the team looks a lot different next season. Brissett is the one I’d keep, Warner gave him glowing praise saying he’s a starter in this league today and If they move off Kyler then I’m keeping Brissett as a stopgap for a QB we likely draft to let them learn the game and behind Brissett and coaches. Then who knows If the Cardinals get a HC that thrives with Jacoby and a GM to build out the roster and maybe we can be what we’re supposed to be this season.
As much as I love Budda baker he deserves to go to a contender
If they drop a couple more games maybe but they still have hope to keep the season alive.
10 games left, 3 games back and at least SF is pretty banged up.
They’re not even that far out of a wild card spot.

I doubt anyone gets traded. This isn’t the NBA where struggling teams just dump assets at the trade deadline
I hope Baler isn’t traded. If he is, send him to a contender for what NHL calls a Borque deal.
I hope Brissett isn’t traded. I think he is better at QB than Murray. Especially under pressure.
I can’t help but wonder what Pete Carroll would give up for Kyler….
As bad as the season looks we still could have easily won every game we played, I’m not so sure hitting the panic button on the players is the right move. Campbell is debatable, but I think coaching has been the main reason we can’t finish games.
