Fucking that one
Defense steps up and makes a huge stop and rattler pisses it away immediately
If it wasn’t this it was the first fumble. Some people will excuse it but I feel it was the worst. That first drive looked like we were off to a good start, we were gonna make this game a close one…. Then the second his goofy ass started running, Holding the ball all willy nilly I knew it was bout to be a fumble and boom yeah. Then backed on the 1, we had a nice run before this? And then this fuckin pick 6.
I honestly thought this was just a good play by the defense. He put it far outside that wingspan was insane to get a lucky tip
Sad thing was he was playing well aside from the 2 boneheaded TO’s. Problem is that he doesn’t have enough juice to overcome big mistakes like that.
Ironically, he is a lot like Carr in that he plays well enough to not lose you a game, but not good enough to win you a game. So once he was actively making us lose, it was time to make the change.
With all those TO’s and losing games, Moore had to do it.
The fumble earlier in the game happens pretty frequently in the NFL. Those big guys surprise guys constantly by being able to close that gap. But even so, needed to be more careful after the previous game.
Then this one was just as dumb as you can get. Really inexcusable. I think the DE held our TE on his release, which is why Rattler got up looking for the flag. But you can’t make that throw either way. You throw it to the sideline,
I think it’s hard to vilify Rattler after some impressive performances, but that W-L record simply wasn’t good enough.
However, I think let’s be clear — Tyler Shough, a 2nd round pick, wasn’t good enough to win the job in Week #1. Him “earning” the start is purely about throwing spaghetti against the wall.
The right QB probably isn’t in the room. Next year’s backup, probably is
I think Moore wanted Shough to win this job originally and gave him every opportunity, but Rattler looked better in camp, and Moore wasn’t gonna send the signal to the players that performance doesn’t matter. Fast forward to the last couple games, and I think now he can pull the plug without losing the locker room.
Olave, Shaheed, and Johnson were as much to blame for that loss, but they don’t have backups even marginally good enough to take some of their reps. Meanwhile Rattler has a top 40 pick waiting in the wings.
It doesn’t matter who is in the backfield if the O line can’t hold the defense for a 3 count, period, end of discussion.
Jeesus, we are complaining about why one backup quarterback isn’t playing over another and getting wins. We all knew The Suck was coming down the line this year.
This was the moment. It just…was.
Back to a poverty franchise. Will it take another hurricane to kick us into shape??? Let’s see what Melissa does lol
I believe KM will keep Rattled in until the bye week. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Shough started the 3rd qtr of these next two games. They were neck and neck in the preseason, neither was impressive. But Rattled had the starting experience, so KM went with him.
I haven’t seen a shoulder block like that since 300.
I turned the game on saw this play happen, turned the game off and said yeah make the switch. Rattler went from protecting the ball to just giving it up.
Seeing the size difference between those was astounding to me.
It had to be the pick. I didn’t watch the game but when I seen that clip I didn’t need to see anything else. What the hell was he thinking either throw the ball away or take the sack
I don’t think this was the moment at all, actually. It was a fluke that the deflection ended up in the defenders hands, and to his credit, Rattler did try a tackle. Still looked better than Ryan vs Tuttle.
No, the real moment was when we got the ball in the 2nd half and had one of the worst drives of the season. You talk to your young QB in the locker room, go over how you’re going to execute coming out, watch the Bucs drive, then get the ball and that’s what you do? No, by then you’ll try something, hell, anything, because this car just won’t start and you need to be places. It is what it is, I like Rattler well enough and thought he did ok given the circumstances, but I’m ok with his benching and trying out Shough. He didn’t look like a deer in headlights coming in relief, so that’s a plus, but let’s not get our hopes all the way up just yet.
The moment the team lost the fans was the moment that KM knew he needed to make a change soon. Now if Shough is the guy for the future? The fans will now get a chance to see.
If that were the moment Shough probably would’ve started the second half.
