NHL Highlights | Flames vs. Maple Leafs – October 28, 2025
in and so is Knanders. We get to the starting lineups brought to you by bet99.net. Cadri, Hoover, Frost, Anderson, and Ball for the Flames. Up front will take on Austin Matthews in the Toronto Maple Leafs. East Count and it’s stolen. And a shot reaches Stoolars. He’s able to make the stop after a steal from Calgary. Flames are hungry here. Coleman with a shot. That one denied as well. One game sitting out you can live with. It’s hard but you can find your path through. Cornado turn that one over. Knander has Matthews driving and a fine stop by Wolf and he’s going to turn it over. He’s going to try and go back up through the neutral zone. It’s turned over and watch Knlander with the pass. It goes right to Matthews but Knlander fell down and he was really slow to get up. Now, we know that he missed Saturday’s game from a previous injury the Friday night before. As expected, handling. And speaking of Zayn Pere, first time in the NHL in his backyard in Toronto navigating, comes to Frost. He scores off the post and in for Morgan Frost. And Calgary leads it one- nothing. in that game. Watch through the neutral zone. This is that creativity that Ryan Huska talked about. Cadri does an amazing job weaving through the neutral zone. Gets it to Hubedo and kicks that out to Frost on the right wing and with a beautiful shot. He goes far side post and in for a one- nothing lead. That was well executed. That was a very very much a great example of how they came through the Here’s the former North York Ranger and Mark Major Zane Perk. Cadry across Perk to the side back to Cadry drag shoots on the post short side post and out from Cadri power play. Going to see how as they enter the zone going to get it right back to Pere and he’s going to quickly whip it over the other side. Great puck movement. Here’s the chance by Cadry. Incred 340. So, not a ton. Shots four to four. None against. Great effort by that top line. Well, you heard our four panelists talking. David and Sam, Brendan, and Eric, all four of them talked about the cavalry line and how well they played. A lot with a little ice time really. Yeah. Rubbero to the front. Oh, what a move by Frost and a stopped by Solars to keep that one off the highlight reel. Boost it up a little bit. Hanza tried to get in. Good balls pocket pick. Here comes Knander along with McMahon. Knander in. Pass to McMahon. Sliding over to make the save is Dustin Wolf. Anderson. What a big stop by Wol early in the frame and somehow Knander got that puck over sends it back. Weaguer lifts it in. Bouncing puck over top of Stolar stick now. Sharon Golage tried to beat him short side. Two waxs at it. Stolar’s recovered after mishandling that puck. balling was nearly lost control but is able to recompose himself and a hard hit by Nazum Gadry who is feeling it tonight. Twoon one shaping up the other way. Dolby tow drive scores [Music] [Applause] do off a stick and in ties the game at one of the season. That’s a sigh of relief for Domy. Beautifully placed shot. I’m not sure if it hits the stick. Gate across Dolby at that undone. Lombberg spots it off to the races. Lumber again along shoots and missed on the left side of Solar’s formerly getting the win with escape blade for the Calgary Flames off the dot. Kirkland coming in with Baraby some room. Far jams and scores. There it is for Joel Far. He’s got the go-ahead goal this one. What a great play. Kirkland’s going to get it right to Farby. He goes around Doy. He recognizes it’s not a defenseman, it’s Doy. And I don’t think there’s any body contact with Stolars. Keep in mind that’s been a theme for the Leafs and the goalender Stolars most of the season where there’s lots of traffic in front. He doesn’t like it. Hanley over to Zay Bar looking for the tip in the slot. Nearly found it inside our final minute of period number two. Car again shoots past stop and Cry is robbed by Stolars. Starters dealing with a little bit of traffic here late in the period. Knander couldn’t get that pass through to Tavvarz, but then he picks a pocket. Nice deep shoot. Scores. Nines around Wolf and the Leafs have tied it again. [Music] And right there he has the puck. He’s stripped of the puck by Knander and it goes right to N and he takes it right across the net. This is one that Michael Bland’s not going to be happy with. Kneelander so good at that pickpocket move though tonight’s game taking the puck from the ball and getting a great scoring chance. You got to be aware when he’s on the ice. And another test for Wolfe as Tvaris and Elander came together and Wol able to keep it out late in the period. Take two. Cadri and Matthews. This time Matthews has got it. Slides into his corner. Cavry gives him a little cross check in the low back. Handley in the box. Williams fighting for that puck. Looked like Anderson was going to grab it and now he does, but he’s turned over. Matthews point blank rebound. Wolf. What a stop to keep. And then they jam away at it and N will put it into the empty net. [Music] So they get possession right here. Knander goes down now. Rasmus Anderson turns and fires it right to Austin Matthews. He takes a good hard shot. Look at the two opportunities that Tavaris had. And there was a collision at the side of the net. You can see that Dustin Wolf couldn’t get up and Matthew Knives I believe knocks this in. I don’t think it’s John Tvaris otherwise they would be allowed to have the celebration. Yep. Comes in. Nice. Tvaris lost control. Flames pounce. Back hand. Zary raw by Stolars. Up in his own zone very often, but right there in the slot. Sharon Govich gets it right to Zerry. Watch this backhand. Nice save by Stolars. He recogniz Myers and Doy once more. Doy on the outside. Drops off Morgan Riley. Some room looking for the pass and the slot. founded and what a great save by Dustin Wolf. Play to help him out and Dustin Wolf with a tremendous save. A backhand by Lorent and Wol keeps it away. Flames got in front of that pass. Hanzac alone shoots, scores. First NHL goal for Sam Hanzac and it was worth the wait. with the puck on his stick. All sorts of time. Tries to throw it back to Meyers. That is picked off by Backlin right to Hanzik. And within a matter of 3 seconds after the turnover, the Flames capitalize. As you mentioned, John, his first of his National Hockey League career. Michael Bland has the puck. There it is. Ross turned it over. Doby denied by Dustin Wolf reverses jammed up a little. Had to change the angle of the stick. Bouncing puck available. Doiy’s found it. Ran into his own teammate though and linemate N now comes back. Doi in shoots. Scores. [Music] Second of the game for Max Doy. Leaps lead it late 4-3. [Music] Quick brister. This is on another claims turnover though. Mackenzie Waguer has the puck. Tries to go up the middle. It’s intercepted. Here’s another opportunity for Waguer to clear. He doesn’t and it comes right to Maxi and he goes far side for his second of the evening. And this has most likely been his best game Doy for the season. And pretty much uneven start for Doi. He was injured in training camp. Carlo trying to trap it. Matthews Flames digging for it. 3 seconds left. Puck is elevated and that’ll do it. The Leafs win backto back games. This one late four to three. [Music]
Max Domi scored twice, including the game-winning goal in the third period, while Matthew Knies also notched a pair of goals to lead the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 4-3 win against the Calgary Flames.

Keep Willy and Auston together all year. Matthews clearly plays better with another star on his line. GG CGY
Hate to see Toronto win but nice to see Calgary lose.
Flames are a bad team. Keystone cops.
Sens > Leafs
Nice to see Domi get on the board twice. W.
Cheers to the buds! Go Leafs and go Jays!
Flames one game winning streak ends at one.
As a Flames fan they always find a way to be the Key Stone Cops, their brutal. Another year of no playoffs
A total unnecessary loss. to many stupid turnovers. So you wasted 2 (or at least 1) point/s 🤬
Wow Flames are terrible….
flames almost won is the story of this team.
Team tank keeps on rolling! pretty sad the leafs almost handed us some points. Go flames 🔥
Turning the puck over is what Flames do best. Used to be good team.
Wolf is the best Calgary has, and that aint saying much.
Leafs helped by a typic Lames mistake at end 😂
UK fan here, i see the trend of keeping possesion in your own end is seeping into hockey😂 in football (soccer) there is an epidemic of teams playing the ball around at the back and having the goalie pass it out and it just ends up in your own net from a poor pass or tackle/interception
As a Canucks fan, keep on losing Calgary.
Nice night for Domi, netting 2 goals. I don't think Steve Dangle is going to need any throat lozenges for the game review.
The leafs are phenomenal during the season, but ToR "Totally Over-Rated" during the playoffs. 😘
Calgary are going to finish last this year . They got nothing good
2-8-1 last in the league, GO TEAM TANK!
It's going to be a bad year for Canadian teams I feel it
Merci Toronto
Congrats to Honzek on his first goal!
Hopefully they get rid of huberdeau and free up a lot of cap space 🙏
Back to the WIN the Draft Lottery column. The Flames are doing "well" this season.
Canada's Team wins again!!! we unstoppable!!! whooo!!
Canadien hockey’s 💪💪💪

Horrid defense in a few of the goals this game lol
