ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes “at least one” of the Saints wide receivers will be dealt, and added that “if I had to bet, I’d say Rashid Shaheed is the guy who interests most teams

  1. “if I had to say something that is universally agreed upon by everyone in the NFL and every single fan watching other than Chris Olave’s family, I’d say Rashid Shaheed is the guy who interests most teams”

  2. I just want to point out what a genius Loomis is for getting Brandin Cooks when we already had 2 WRs who were small, skinny dudes who can’t catch tough balls over the middle lmao.

I miss cant gaurd mike 🙁

  3. Look, if we need assets or have a master plan then sure. My only thing is: Our WR/TE group is already poor. Removing any talent from it doesn’t seem like a great way to help our QB situation.

Basically, either Shaheed is valuable enough that he’s worth a higher pick and then the question becomes why would we trade him on such a depleted roster OR he’s not worth much in compensation and so why would we move him for like a 6th or 7th?

Only thing I can think is maybe in a player swap where we use him to get OL help or something.

  4. Shaheed will probably ball out for a few teams tbh, if they use him properly like how we used to when we had MT. He’s great at going deep but he’s not a WR2 like we’re trying to use him as

  5. Good. Nobody should be safe on this team outside of Kamara and Cam. We need draft capital.

  6. Nobody is giving more than a 6th rounder for this guy. He’s a deep threat and that’s it

  7. Makes sense to trade him

He’s already 27, isn’t much besides a deep threat, and is coming off a significant leg injury. He’s gonna want WR2 money when in reality he’s a WR3 at best

  8. He has the best name on the team. Would the purpose be to get rid of all good players for picks and build up the line and QB?

  9. Apparently, we have so many quality wide receivers, we can spare one or two. Who knew?

  10. This sub: we need to tank!! We need to accumulate draft capital, get money off the books, and reset!!

Also this sub: oh em gee I can’t believe they’re considering trading one of our only decent players! What are they thinking?!

Did you people think this was gonna be a 1 year rebuild? Seriously, we are gonna suck for years, plural. Getting any kind of draft capital for a guy we will not be re-signing is objectively the correct move. Do you think the Lions were pumped to trade away Stanford, a player better than literally anyone on our team now? No, it sucked, and they sucked for years after trading him away. Everyone forgets about it because of how good they are now, but it’s a painful process and there’s no guarantee it even works. But it’s what we have to do now, so buckle up!

  11. Why would we trade shaheed… I truly hate the, “let’s trade this great player for the hopes of another great player.

We ALREADY have the great player.
