Even if you have a subscription i don’t see anything particularly interesting here. Guys that regularly cover the Tigers have better insight. This is just a rundown from a national writer for a national audience. I don’t think Sears and Hamm have to be protected from Rule 5, as is written here (though i could be mistaken). I think there *will* be serious consideration of whether to give Gleyber a QO, MLBTR says no way. There’s no mention of Max Anderson or Hao-Yu Lee, and it’s suggested that Jung might either compete for the 3rd base job or be traded (I can’t imagine either).
TL&Dr is that the Tigers ought to sign a top tier SP and two leverage relievers. They might go after Bregman and/or Bo Bichette, and probably wouldn’t need to or want to do anything else.
