NHL Highlights | Red Wings vs. Blues – October 28, 2025
He’s chopping the bit. We see a fight shock. Shar and Shen, keep an eye on this one right here. Lin against Shen on the opening draw. The Detroit Red Wings win it. They go to the right wing. Coming off the wall in the far wing on the back end. Butch Navic in behind the Detroit net. Loose took a four nothing lead on Detroit Saturday night for Detroit roared back. Shen gets it to Perico on the near wing. Colton skates down, hands it off to Navis. Snaps over to Brobert. Shoots it. Deflected. He scored. Braden Shen the captain. No fight, no problem. I’ll score. Shroat said no thank you. And that’s okay. Why? You stay in the offensive zone. A shot from Broberg. A very fortunate. Sunquist trying to clear. Couldn’t get it out. Here’s a shot low and wide. That’s ripped by Lucas Raymond. And it’s back past Raymond to the near wing to Lurin to the goal. Bennington dropped down. Got the right toe on it and the Blues clear to center. Bouncing puck dragged by Shen over the red line. Edmonson gets it back. Larkin’s going to wheel it towards the net. Fire rister wide. It takes a wacky dangled hop out to Shen. Leads a Blues rush into Butch Navage. Rips it on and another rebound off Gibson. It goes into the corner. Lost the handle. Pero keeps it in. Goes to Kyrie. Far wing. Probert shooting and just off the glove maybe high. Actually looks like it might have hit the mask of the goalie as Gibson shaking his head as they feed in front. That one’s challenged by Holloway and Perico’s going to jam after it. Get three around that puck in the corner. They just swarm that puck loose. Holloway open to Walker. Walker with a shot and another save from Gibson. The rebound to the corner. That’s Broberg down to the goal line with it. Now his brother is a goalender for Chicago. They’re saying their last name differently at the line. Shot on. Bennington will make that save. It goes over to the far wing. Ras Muen feeds it back to the blue line. There’s Sandine Pelica shooting it wide now. Sherro, it’s cut off bystead. Grabbed back by Detroit. Pass to the far period here. And the puck now to the near far side. They’ll drop him. Travis Hamick dropping the gloves with Braden Shen. Shen got one. Hammond’s going to get a jab in. Hamnick trying to come back. The helmet’s off. Shen with an uppercut. Shen coming over the shoulder of Hamick. And Braden Shen has a goal. He’s got the fight. Perfect. I want to go out there and play for this team. Look at that captain go. [Music] And the Blues play it around to the near side. Definitely [Music] get frustrated very early. Here is the Bington last hit. I said he punched it with his blocker. It was actually the top of his stick. Dink is going to shoot it. Watch the top of the knob right here. Boom. Right there. in behind the net. They go to center and a good block by the Blues. Deny in the middle of the ice. Now Dylan Larkin there. They put it through. Bennington to the far side. Might had a piece of it as it came off a skate and the puck to Fowler finds F. He’ll flip it. Cider’s going to go back to find it. That wraparound went behind his back underneath him. Actually hit the back inside the skate and came right across the blue paint. Another shot. Bennington. He’s just going Hashik like moving in the net. And now they shoot and score. Now you knocked the first three deflections away. Blues couldn’t clear it. So now you’re going to see Ben Sherro from the point. He’s going to be to the bottom left of your screen. You see number eight. He’s going to come up here. He’s just going to one time it right off the boards. And then you’re going to see Justin Faulk. These are the bounces. I’m telling you, it’s crazy. I have never seen so many bad bounces for a team. Call you for holes though. Big kill here. 51 ticks to go in the first shoots it off the skate line of the goal. First penalty kill of the game for either team. Bouncing puck flipped to Mo Cider, takes it on the far wing, shoots, and they score. It goes off the glove of Bennington. He’s looking at the referee. Deflected right in front of him. follower. One one thing about a veteran player is you’re having you’re having a conversation on the ice. It’s not just here and there. That one of the biggest adjustments when you have players come from college in the American Hockey League. Pass over to Kyu. Had it taken off of his stick right there by Lurin and Kyru couldn’t hold it in on the clear. Roberg over to get it. Now they send it in. Kyu shoots it. Kyu gets the first shot, gets the rebound. Look how he opens that those skates up in that V formation. kind of opens him up to a 180 view. He goes for the wrap round. John Gibson’s just swimming in his crease. Doesn’t get some help as they go to move and they’ve got to drop back into their own end. Drags it over the line. What a move to the middle. Tried to shoot it on and a save by Gibson. And looks down at his skate. That puck might have hit his skate as well. Yeah, he’s wincing a little bit. Look like left leg. And they go shoot it on at Bennington. The save. Bouncing puck into the slot. Here’s the first one for Detroit. Watch this pass by Dylan Larkin. It’s a soft little backhander behind everyone and it barely hits EMTT Finny’s stick. You can’t ask for a better Shen on the faceoff. Another win for Detroit. They pass to the middle, deflect and score. A faceoff win. Larkin the goal. It’s three to one Detroit. 846 to play in the second. [Applause] on the same page. Watch the centerman Dylan Lurin. He’s going to be the goal scorer. They work it back. The centerman moves from the inside dot. He’s going to come to the inside between the hash marks. He’s going to release, come to the middle, and it’s kind of that Cindy Crosby chop tip. He patented this tip. Watch it. This is a difficult play. Look at that. That is incredible hand eye coordination by their captain. It’s just not a good place to be. But the Blues got to figure out a way through it. One way to get through it and that is the battlefield. A puck dumped in by Detroit coming around to the near side. These two teams split the two game series last year with each home team winning. They get it in front and score. A quick pass and Serblam was left alone in front. It’s four to one Detroit. You got one body, one red wing behind the net and you’re going to see two Blues players release on the one guy behind the net. That cannot happen. You’re going to see the Blues forward going to release. Go behind the net. Nathan Walker’s got soda ball. He’s in a great spot. Everyone’s covered. We’re good. And then right there, you see Walker release, but he thinks he can get a poke on it. I I I don’t mind the play, but at some point, you got to load up. You got to have shots from the outside and you have to converge. Ball up the middle, shooting, gibson the save, and that puck gets driven. Goes right back to the near wing. He goes inside. He splits the D. Gets a great shot off. Look like he’s going low blocker there, but John Gibson shuts it down. Heck of a pass from Buchavic. He cuts it right, uses his body to get to the inside. Blocker save by Gibson. He tries to whack at the rebound, but a really nice hamik stick right there to prevent that. They’re just not making a dent in the game. Braden Shen on the opening faceoff. Casper is going to go right to left and bring it out to center. His teammates change behind him. Casper with a head of steam. Watch the D. Shoots it off the shoulder of Bennington. It lands in behind the net. Look at the neutral zone. You get a bigger picture. You can just see everyone. Look at all these. All those bodies are just back. They’re just waiting for pucks. It’s very hard to establish any forecast. Puck comes through near side back door. Kick wide to the goal. Somehow get a post. Get it out high. Into the middle they go. Work it to the net. Bennington the save. and Reams was the one that got it there. Now there just no mercy in it. There really is nothing there and it’s leaves you stranded. [Applause] So the boomeran into shoot Kyro score Jordan Kyu brings a little life give the Blues a chance to get within two with just under five to go. Detroit with three around the puck. The Blues have four. Larkin trying to sweep it along the wall. Shen now that scrum breaks up. Good work by Bnavich to get it to Fowler. Fowler to Holloway. He’s got to wrist it. Rebound finds its way to Detroit. The pass to Larkin to the empty net. 52 Detroit. The empty net goal with a minute seven to go in the third period. Put pucks on backhand right there. Dylan Holiday gets a pass. It goes to his backhand. So, he’s got to collect it on the backhand. He’s got to reset himself instead of getting off the one-time. [Applause] 5 seconds to go in this one. Detroit’s going to win the season series with a sweep in four days. And that’s the end of this one. [Music]
Dylan Larkin had two goals and three points, Alex DeBrincat added a goal and an assist, and the Detroit Red Wings took a 5-2 win over the St. Louis Blues.

Nice to see Elmer getting back on the scoresheet.
Let's go Red Wings! Looking good this year
Soderblom needs to get some more minutes. He's really found how to use his body to contribute to the team.
Bennington ran into a buzz saw, blues defenseman weren’t much help,Gibson seems to be settling in somewhat, five hole looks to be closing a little bit
LRGW!-Brenton Hesselink
Larkin is playing the season of his life right now,and no better option for the rookie of the year than Emmitt Finnie,he deserves it more
Does Pat Kane still play for Detroit?
And every red wings fan said hamonic is a bad addition
I feel bad for Binnington he has traffic cones for defensemen in front of him.
Dylan Larkin is truly one of the best players in Hockey right now
LETS GO REDWINGS!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'll take a rain check on watching blues games for a few weeks don't want to waste time watching a beer league team try to play pro hockey, what a horrible start to the season
Детройт, як я любив в дитинстві цей клуб. Зараз, всі команди, кльові, не знаєш , за кого вболівати. Я за хороший хокей. Хоча тут поганих матчів не буває.
Commentator glazing Crosby on Larkin’s goal for absolutely no reason whatsoever 💀
Let's go Red Wings ❤🤍❤
#71🐙🔥
LGRW❤️❤️❤️
Larkin is on fire
How about Gibson in this game though, some really clutch saves!
Thank you Red Wings!!!
Keep on rocking!!!
Zero effort once again…blues are cooked
So good to see everyone contributing. Seeing the replay of Hamonic coming back to lift the stick of the Blues attacker, denying him a great opportunity on the rebound. Nice! All these little things add up. Way to go, guys! LGRW!
