REPORT: New York Jets UNLIKELY To Trade Quinnen WIlliams | Trade Deadline 2025
All right, guys. What’s going on? Welcome in. So, there’s a report that came out from actually multiple reporters here. Ian Rapaort, NFL Network. Zack Rosenblat also chimed in on the matter. It’s the availability of Quinnon Williams and really the potential of him getting traded at the deadline. Now, obviously, the Jets are coming off the first one of the season. Awesome. That is sick. But we’re on a by-week and we’re actually going to be passing the trade deadline before the Jets play football again. So, there’s a lot of speculation out there, right? You’re looking at the Jets roster. It’s a new regime coming in. There are players that don’t really fit the system. There are guys on expiring deals. And we’ve talked a lot about the list. I have another video uh probably dropping later on in the week about it. You know, the the Quincy Williams, the Bree Hall uh trade rumors and things like that. guys that could potentially get dealt percentages and everything. It should be a lot of fun. Um, but again in this one, Quinnon Williams, right? Quinnon Williams. Quinnon Williams, he he’s the best player on this defense. He’s 27 years old. He is highly paid and welldeserved. I mean, he is such a good player. He can play at a 34. He can play at a 43. You can line him up at DN if you really, really need him to. The point is, there are numerous teams that could use a Quinn Williams. The problem is the price tag, right? Darren Muji is not going to accept some sort of lame offer, some sort of, you know, pennies on the dollar sort of offer for Coin Williams. It’s just simply not in the card. This is not going to happen. And that is 1,000% the right move. And so this is what Ian Rapaort had to say on the matter. New York Jets three-time Pro Bowler Quinn Williams and his teammate, running back Breeze Hall, have garnered plenty of interest, as has Jacobe Meyers. Williams is likely to be the most intriguing with the November 4th deadline approaching. He goes on to say it would take a huge offer for the Jets to consider parting ways with Williams. In regards to Zach Rosenlat from The Athletic, he said that the Jets are not actively shopping Quinn before the deadline and the Jets are supposedly not entertaining moving him at this point in time. Now, of course, anything can change. You know, I look at a couple teams out there that just make so much sense for Quinn. The Dallas Cowboys, the Baltimore Ravens could really, really use Quinn. I also think the San Francisco 49ers make a lot of sense. I The bottom line is Quinn can fit anywhere. Name a defense, Quinnon’s probably going to be an upgrade and he’s probably going to be able to fit the system. He’s just that good of a player. But again, if I’m Darren Muji here, I don’t want to trade Quinn. I really I really don’t. unless I’m blown away with an offer. And I think a realistic package for Quinn and Williams is a first round pick plus something else, whether that’s a first and a fourth, a f a first round pick at a player, you know, and that’s one of the reasons why I mentioned Dallas, right? Because they really need help at DTackle. They really need help stopping the run. They really need help getting after the passer. Quinn checks all three of those boxes. They also have two first round picks. Dallas could very well have this mindset where it’s, hey, we have this massive, massive need. We’re a win now team. This is an expensive roster. You know, we have these two first round picks. If we move on from one of them, like the realistic chance of that first round pick being better than Quinn Williams, very, very slim. It’s just the reality, right? And because we have two now, it’s a lot easier or maybe more flexible in theory to move off of one as opposed to the Ravens with just one, right? Where it’s like, okay, our first pick is going to be in the 60s or something. Dallas can move a first and have Kenny Clark and Quinn Williams and still have a first round pick and be totally totally improved on the interior of that defensive line. So, it is something to think about. But again, if I’m a, you know, if I’m Darren Muji, if I’m Aaron Glenn, I I mean, as a fan of this team, I want more than just a first. I understand that that might sound a little greedy, but we are talking about defensive tackle. This is one of the most premium positions in the league. If you can generate pressure through the middle of the offensive line, that is so like that trait does not just grow on trees. You can’t just pick a random player in round three, round four, and just expect that player to have, you know, immense upside as a pass rushing defensive tackle. It’s it’s just it’s very very difficult to come by. And Quinn again has that. He can take on double teams. He’s effective taking on double teams. You look at him as a run stuffer. He’s in the prime of his career. Yeah, I want more than a first. So for me, first round pick plus something more. If you can’t meet that demand, then I’m not trading Quinnon. He’s under contract. we could afford to pay him. With Quinn under contract, with him getting paid 20 plus million dollars per season, the Jets are expected to have over $91 million in cap space. With Quinn on the roster, so I’m not pressed about, oh my god, we have to get rid of this guy. We have to move him. He’s 34 years old. We think he’s going to drop off quickly. No, there’s there should be no rush. There should be no rush to deal Quinnipim. Now, if you get a call and that package is pretty sweet, I don’t feel like Darren Muji should just be like he’s untouchable. You know, if you get like a Jamal Adams, like who projected the Jets to get a Jamal like that type of package for Jamal? If something like that comes in the comes through the phone lines of Darren Muji, you know that it’s going to be pretty difficult to pass up. But again, the Jets have other players that we can deal to add picks. Michael Carter potentially, Breeze Hall, potentially Quincy Williams potentially. You know, we’ll see what happens with Lazard. It seems like the Steelers rumors continue because if Rogers, I mean, if we can get anything for Lazard, I’m doing it. I don’t care if it’s a 2027 seventh round pick. I’m doing it. He’s not on the team moving forward in my opinion. But yeah, according to Ian Rapaort, according to Zack Rosenlack, it’s looking like it’s pretty unlikely that the Jets are going to be moving Quinnon at the deadline. Of course, not set in stone. We are not past the deadline. We have seen strange strange things happen around this time of year. So, I don’t want to really rule anything out. But you know, all I’ll say is if if the plan is to trade Q, you we better be prepared. You don’t trade a player like this and not have a plan. You and and it goes further than just, hey, we’ll get a draft pick and something else. No, you have to have an idea. I don’t care about the combine. I don’t care about the prodays. As a general manager, you need to have immense knowledge on future drive classes. Immense knowledge right now. Right now, if I ask Darren Muji, hey, if we manage to get the Cowboys first or, you know, the the Green Bay Packers first from Dallas, and by the way, I’m just using Dallas as an example. You can throw out any team that you want that realistically makes sense for a you know, a DTackle, Baltimore, someone like that. Let’s just say call it in the 20s, early 20s, mid20s. Yeah, you better have an idea on a handful of players at specific positions that you think are going to be there. Now, it might not be 100% accurate. Maybe someone has someone is a draft day faller. Maybe someone has a great pre-draft process and shoots up the board. You’re thinking, “Hey, I can get this guy at 28.” And then on draft, they know he’s getting picked at 14. Okay, different story. But there’s guy there, multiple players, multiple players have to be looked at. Okay, this is kind of a bottom round one guy as far as this draft is concerned, right? What are these pre-draft grades? So, all I’m saying, you better have a plan. If you trade Quinnon, you better better have a plan that they would free up ex, you know, an extra $20 million, which would help in free agency and whatnot. Uh, and of course, more draft capital, which would be awesome. But, um, yeah, I mean, there’s pros and cons to both sides of it. I don’t think one side is the correct answer because you can sell me on both. But, if it was me, I’m not trading Quinnon unless the package is humongous and or Quinnon just flat out wants out. Get me out of here. I request a trade. I don’t want to be a part of the scene anymore. Okay, now I’m a little bit more open to it. But up to this point, there hasn’t really been um you know, any sort of uh news or reports regarding that. So anyway, let me know your thoughts down below. Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate you guys. And as always, go Jets.

Why should he get out there put his body into getting hurt giving it always got and you're only now one win
Let's be realistic.Quinnen is underachieving .. i would settle for a second and a fifth. We could end up with a very good player and maybe a decent one in addition to that.. He makes a ton of $. Cap space will be freed up and give us room to maneuver in FA
Sell woody for a 7th rounder
Quinnen for a 2nd and 4th round pick would be fair to all.
Good I wish all the jets media stop pushing for trading players! WE HAVE THE PLAYERS!!!! It’s coaching POINT BLANK PERIOD!
Absolutely, I agreed with you Ian , if you’re trading Q you better have a plan who you’re looking at
Jets are A-Holes. No wonder they’re a bunch of losers.
lets goo
I don’t see the jets trading anyone but Quincy and Michael Carter. Hopefully Lazard
The most jets thing ever if passing on getting parsons for quinnen just to trade him anyway.
That Adams trade seems unreal now, if we got anything near that I'd take it.
Im with you. At minimum im not asking for anything less than a 1st. He may not be having the nest season, but hes still one of the best DT in the league. You got to get a premium pick for that. A 1st and maybe a 4th or a 5th.
I dont think Q or Breece are being traded. I think MCII & Quincy are probably the most likely traded at the deadline. And the return wont be groundbreaking. Maybe a 4th for Quincy and maybe a pick swap for MCII. But its the appropriate value youre getting for those players. Dont undersell a player just because youre a bad team. You sell a player at the value they're worth and i think Mougey knows that.
Quinnen is the heart of the defense and anyone who doesn't see that doesn't know football. We need to keep all our good players and hope we get a star QB in the draft. Another year for the coaching staff and we might have something.
Q is staying, especially if JJ is, mcdonald deff staying. Breece staying. Lazard and mc2 and Tony adams are the only ppl im moving possibly with AVT
Keep q, well lose the locker room, win next year, trust the process
We dont have alot of life long Jets, i want him to finish his career as a jet
To me Q is Untradeable, Its like the Chiefs trading Mahomes. You just don't do that. I would rather not trade anyone but if anything it would be MC2,. Love the dude but if we can get a big body WR that can win the jump ball then sign me up.
What does Quinnen actually do? If I can get an early 2nd for him I'd think about it..he's seriously overrated by Jets fans..he's invisible most of the time
I'm cool with trading away anybody on this defense. Quinton is one of the common denominators over the past few regimes where this team completely checks out when things don't go their way.
TRADE FOR SHEDEUR
The New York jets needs to stop trading weapons away 😤 ian why because you won't win champion chips bruh change the rookie coaching staff bro..!! We need veteran coaches in that building
The one thing the Jets should have learned from this Cincy game is their offensive approach of Justin Fields was WRONG. It was too conservative. I put this on AG and Tanner. They must be strategically agressive with Fields passing/running, Hall doing Wildcat type plays and feeding Garrett Wilson. Go all out. Now the Jets have discovered some diamonds in the rough because of all the "WOODY NOISE" of Isaiah Williams and Tyler Johnson. I believe this game will help the Jets discover who they are as a team through great mental adversity. Hearing Justin Fields saying he was crying means this guy CARES ! That is BIG ! Lets get this winning streak going and beat the Browns ! One game at a time. GO JETS !!!!!
Trading the heart and soul of our defense you don't have 3 other linemen combined with his talent you need to keep the few building blocks you have
Would you do it for a 2nd and Kyle Hamilton?
Duh.People throw shit at the wall to see if something sticks beeece ain't going anywhere either
GOOD‼️ Keep good players to build the culture/locker room.
The only Jets player I want traded from the defensive side is Michael Clemmons because of being a penalty prone player.
I love Quinnen and breece and I’m seeing a lot of other fans say not to trade them. My view on it is that even with those great players we’re still 1-7 and haven’t been able to win in any previous years with them as well despite what the problems that fall upon this team every year. I feel like it’s a smarter option to move these players while their value is still high and gain more assets for building this team with so many holes in the roster. Thoughts?
Thanks for the update. I want Glenn to stay here after the season. I would've NOT wanted that to happen if he's at the head of the regime that traded away Quinnen. NO NO NO
Also commenting for the algorithm. Don’t trade quinnen unless it’s a can’t miss offer (multiple firsts)!!! He’s a guy to build a defense around.
I would never trade him. You build around him. 🏈💭🤔😀✌️
Whatever happens, we’ll know more about the direction of this team within a week. Mougey- you’re on the clock.
A 1st and a 3rd or better for quinnen. Nothing less
